So people are coming up with a tierlisting for characters by submitting their match ups based on characters they play, some clearly get disputed but as of right now:

1-Fei Long
2-Akuma
3-Cammy
4-Makoto
5-Honda
6-Chun Li
7-Adon
8-Ken
9-Ryu
10-Sagat

My thoughts. Honda and Chun Li should not be on there. Viper and Seth should be there. Makoto is way too high. Ryu and Sagat might swap spots. Fei Long, Akuma and Cammy should be shuffled.

I think it should look more like this when it's done


1-Akuma - Steam rolls a lot of the cast
2-Cammy - high combo damage
3-Fei Long - didn't get nerfed enough
4-Viper - burn kick spam, 1000 stun combos
5-Seth - way too random, ridiculous SPD
6-Ken - No known bad match ups
7-Makoto - High damage damage combos
8-Sagat - Only received buffs since AE
9-Ryu - Jack of all trades
10-Adon - quite possibly the best wake up in the game, great pokes, cannot be crossed up

Have herp and derp really been nerfed that bad? I know that Welt was only fucking around on Yang but I was keeping track of him on effing Dan. I usually can't even keep up with Welt when he's fucking around and I'm on a character I'm considering maining. Yun is still crazy for me to try and keep up with but Welt is saying a ton of his stuff is punishable now.

Top
Cammy, Fei Long, Ryu, Seth, Adon (they are very strong)

Upper
Ibuki, Akuma, Ken, Sakura, Makoto, Rufus (they are very solid)

Close
Yun, Yang, C. Viper, Abel, Sagat (they are strong, but not very)

viper should probably be higher on his list and adon is the obvious weird pick but he was right about fei before he was OP so who knows. not sure why you said he can't be crossed up, adon can definitely be safe jumped.

I also agree almost completely with Mago's list. Seth is at the very top 1-2 no doubt about it.

IMO Sakura > Ryu, but better players use Ryu than Sak.

I disagree on Yang; I think he is very low tier.

I think Ryu/Sak are even in terms of matchups with the rest of the cast, both are fucked in the corner, Ryu is at least not entirely free on knockdown, Sak has better footsies/oki and higher damage potential per touch. I think head-to-head matched up Sak > Ryu.

Good luck getting it back above 3000 again the amount of players that troll on second accounts is astounding these days. You might get lucky an hit a streak of players in the 10k BP range though

Well, Calli said it best. Win five matches and then lose one to someone who is a tad lower in points than you to end up breaking even at the end of the night.

Big apologies again to Shidobu for dropping mid match. I'm taking a few days off from playing online to really drill basics into my thick head. Hit confirming using a random block dummy, or even some basic combos for Dudley. I'll be back at some point and hopefully you guys won't have to hold back just because it's me. >_>;

I'm not salty at you Shid, it just struck an old nerve with me that happened the last time I tried getting into fighting games back in the CvS2 days when New England actually had a small arcade scene. I had a friend who was way better than me and kept stuffing everything I was doing with high priority pokes. Then he swapped to L5 Dan and completely trashed me while yelling "Dan owns you!!!!"

Now that I think about it... it was kinda funny. He was teaching me Third Strike also which was kinda cool too.
