GGs Rich, going to play some BB and try to unsalt lol
That is true, make sure your frame rate is set to fixed calli.
Yeah it was on fixed. Each match would be fine til about halfway through then turn majorly choppy. On the upside I won a round that I definitely shouldn't have due to it, lol.
Its the other way. You want it set to "DP" (digital pad) and not "LS" (left stick). The stick controller can fuck up your inputs because of the way it reads inputs.
And yes, its intel proprietary USB controller, UHCI - USB 1.1 Proprietary Intel Standard, but not all intel devices use it. It really depends on the make of your mobo. XBOX uses normal USB controllers that every PC should recognize, ps3 uses a very specific one, hence no compatibility. ps3 sticks will show up in your device list but will not register inputs. Front USB cases can have different controllers, so sometimes plugging it into the back (mobo) slots can fix it. Try both out, otherwise you need a separate pci usb card.
I could probably jump back mp you or something out of head stomps instead of trading with cr.hp since that's in your favor but I didn't really think of it til that round where you beat me with like 20 headstomps, lol. The only rounds I was actually mad were the Ken last-second ones. Blanka was pretty tough but when I got to where I wasn't getting knocked down by slide it became a hell of a lot easier, that's an Ibuki-ish matchup to me, it's fine as long as I'm on my feet but the second corpse-hopping starts I'm in deep shit.
I actually consider tonight a win, simply because I only dropped one U1 and using that consistently was one of my main goals.
those ken ones were pretty funny lol. i was actually just fucking around and playing defensive for once since my patience sucks. its a good way to better yourself at it and wasnt worried in the slightest if i lost which was probably why i still won lol. mind games plays a huge roles in chokes i guess. but i think my bison is getting better lol. ive been getting my ass kicked constantly on it, so hopefully i get better with him
and the only thing that people have a hard time with on blanka is blocking lol. if you have a good reaction and know his ranges/the other player's tactics, he's actually quite easy.
i will say this though, you could avoid way more throws if you back dash or FA backdash, and after a spin kick, you should follow up with a safer mixup besides throw. the hardest sakuras never actually end with that or try to open up with it, but they just stay on me with shorts and anti airs, and its really effective against aggressive people like me
I think I might be making some headway on the Hori thing. I downloaded Xbox Accessory divers for my PC and it's recognizing the stick as a game controller now. All the buttons and joystick are registering when I bring it up in the control panel.
Pretty sure I might be stuck with the joystick as a LS instead of DP though. Could Xpadder fix this if I don't have the switch like a madcatz?
for you guys that have PS3 sticks have you tried running DS3 tool? It's what I use it to play FFXIV and SFIV using my ps3 controller and that works fine.

You're using the Hori EX Pro or the SE? Don't think it matters anyway. If I recall, the joystick is automatically mapped to the dpad. Whenever I use it for MAME, the input is read as joy up, down, left, right. Could even check in the controller settings through the control panel. Only the joystick hat switches will light up, not the analog.
It was plug and play for me whenever I used it but I had the 360 controller drivers installed already so not sure if that helped.
EX Pro. I bought it before the SE came out. I tried booting another game like Painkiller and there was no response. I guess that game just doesn't support controllers. Is MAME free? I'd like to check the stick out before buying AE for PC.
Oh. Not sure if it matters but I'm running Vista x64
I got the Qanba Q4RAF last night. I loved it! I feel like it controls much better than my custom stick (maybe I wore out my old one lol), and the moves are coming out in marvel much easier (never had problem with SF4). Just in time for SFxTekken!
It's also the newer model that has the sanwa start button too.
Is there a point to modding the start and select buttons? I only bought enough to mod 6/10 of the buttons on my stick.
EDIT: Just looked up that stick Octo. It looks pretty bitchin'. Helllooooooo upcoming birthday money in April.
I'm guessing this is for dualmodding? You want to be able to press start on both ps3 and 360 wouldn't you? (same for the guide/home button really) ;o
I'm just a bit miffed because that stick costs less than mine after I finished modding it and that one comes dual modded out of the box. lol
