Does anyone know how punishable is it to use Vega's slide to cross under cross up jump ins? Assuming both whiffs and stuff. Is it a bad idea to do it or what?

Probably a bad idea considering half the time you will get auto-correct and it will hit them.

Then use it lol. It probably can't be punished if they are still in the air.

The problem is people that have very good ambiguous jump ins (such as Ken/Adon), how are you so sure its going to cross up? In this situation, you either have to wait until its too late and you get auto-correct, or you will use the slide and it will go forward and they will land in the front, then you will get hugely punished.

I wouldn't use it.

I mean, i dunno. I'd have to use it in a match to show you what I mean. I only use it at the peak of their jump to cross under them during a situation where they would get free jump in pressure that I wouldn't be able to AA. Maybe it's one of those "It's not bad.... but there's better things to do" Also, I'm playing fucking terrible right now.

Instant air JK is not basic -.-

I play vega way better than I play Adon, I have no idea how to play Adon at all. He doesn't have a command normal AA either, which really sucks.

That's just execution. When you practice enough it will come naturally.

Edit: and Adon has a dp that beats everything, who cares about not having a command normal >.>

Well you can learn FADC ultra for starters. Adon is a shit-ton better than Vega. Adon has some of the best, and most ambiguous, safe jumps in the game.

It's not that you can't learn by playing vega. If you like vega that much you should play him.

Read that Justin Wong article I linked to above. He mentioned the difference between playing an advanced character vs playing a beginner character when you first start out.
