I played Sf3 from 2nd Impact and Marvel 2 since the first day the arcade version was released, and when I tried to play SF4 in training mode on a TE stick I felt like I couldn't do anything. It will take a month+ for it to feel like another part of your body.

I was lucky that I only had like...3 months of playing BB under my belt before changing, and even then it was hard.

My main fighting games for years were the Tekken and Virtua Fighter series.

2D fighting games still confuse me to this day.

I always played on a stick, but back in the day we used MAS sticks, not anything Japanese. The actual way the stick works, your movements, and American (terrible) buttons are immensely different than a JP stick.

I'm all doped up on pain meds and will be terrible. Who wants to beat me up in AE PC?

Those Akuma nerfs were fair. He's still a solid character.

The jumpback fireball one can be pretty huge, if you time your jump right you can get over the fireball, if that nerf is enough frames to land a jump in that can be a giant punish.

Could also stand to fuck up combos if you're using the jump in air fireball on wakeups.

From what I understand only the back jump fireball is nerfed though.

His j.f air fireball needs same recovery, but less hit and/or blockstun, especially the EX version. Even if it's using a bar, I don't think you should be able to land, walk forward and full combo with st. RH. Maybe that's just me though.

I don't anything is wrong with the jump forward version, it's not that hard to block. Less blockstun would actually probably be worse, he'd be able to add a throw into the current overhead/sweep mixup very easily.

I think it's just entirely too safe. No move should be able to just be thrown out like that (obviously specifics, like Xian exposing that). But think about it: It can't be AA'd with a normal, most DPs invincibility will run out and they will get hit, and if you try to do something or flinch you eat a whole combo ending into a hard knockdown, starting with a Heavy button. If it's blocked he gets a RISK FREE mix up. No chance of getting reversal'd etc, etc. At least normal fireballs are extremely punishable if predicted. It also covers a lot of space that other characters with fireballs can't even think of controlling. Hell, Ibuki's isn't as good as his and she has an angle'd FB as well. She has less blockstun and can get hit with a reversal following correct block, correct me if I'm wrong. But she lacks mixup opportunities with it as well.
