Also speaking of PC Master Race, upgraded my graphic card over the week and this mod coming out decided to lend me to fucking with settings.

SweetFx+Ambient Occlusion+4xSMAA (Images scaled down to 720 since they were fucking huge)

Edit : Failsauce, original pics didn't have the AO turned on

Also, mod doesn't have double ultras in either. And Ken is fucking retarded now that I've gotten a chance to play around with him. The FADC only on 1st hit of multi hit DPs isn't in there, but not like it matters for the purpose of sitting in training mode.

Well I took a month off and finally got the itch again. This time around I actually have a way to record matches, so I'm just going to throw out some matches from last night and ask for advice. I know I'm terrible at pretty much everything, but I'd like some help identifying what it is I'm worst at and what is most important for me to work on improving(because I genuinely don't know if those will even be the same thing).

That Guile looks pretty good, so I wouldn't worry about losing to him that much. The other guys though are trash.

Your movement looks fine, your anti air game needs work, and I don't think you have a gameplan when you activate U1.

I'll add you tonight and we can play some Juri mirrors if you want.

Octo hit the main point; Juri has very good anti-airs that you need to be consistent with. She can get into trouble if someone gets in on her, but there is no reason anyone should be, at least not from the air. Otherwise you just need a bit more situational awareness/patience in your matches, things like if you have 200~ health left and an opponent is a hit from dead sitting on full super/ultra, don't just walk up and press a button. Especially online, you're just going to eat a wakeup super/ultra.

Also are you on the GFWL version, or the Steam one?

I'm on Steam, which is still shackled to GFWL until Ultra releases.

Sounds like there's a consensus on anti-airs being a big hole in my game, so I guess I'll try to focus on that this week.

Goggle, i'm practicing myself so i don't mind getting a few rounds myself. Btw about the gfwl version, how are we going to be updating to ultra since it's not being supported?

It's on the list of games that will be patched to remove GFWL, I would assume to integrate with Steam. There's a 2 month gap between the closure of GWFL and the release of Ultra. Unless something changes though, Ultra will be a totally new purchase.

I think you guys may have nailed it. I spent all of yesterday focusing on improving my anti-air game and it feels like I'm starting to see some improvement. After watching some more videos of my matches I noticed that a ton of the jump-ins people were getting on me came from whiffed sweeps, so now I know to stop doing that at least. Spending entire matches practicing anti-airs felt like it was improving other parts of my game too.

tbh this is one of the most effective ways to utilize netplay. Instead of worrying about winning the match, focus on one individual aspect of your game, like "don't name bad jumps in neutral" or "anti-air every jump-in"

Under good conditions the net code is perfectly fine. I had no issues playing with Call yesterday and that's a distance of like 900 miles.

You play T.Hawk lol, I couldn't do most of my basic bnbs. That's why I almost never play online :/
