I've been playing a bit more recently and wondering, with Cody since he's going to end up being my main, is there any reason to use U1 over U2? U1 I know you can FADC into with HK Ruffian, but I'm just wondering is it better to do that or just use U2 for punishing DPs and such?

Most Cody's I come across use U1 for some reason... I think mostly for backdash baiting with ex bingo -> fadc U1? Not sure.

99.9% of Cody palyers are awful. The 2 characters I like seeing most in ranked match are Cody/Makoto.

Depends a lot on what character you are fighting, in my experience. I like to use U1 against grappler characters because EX Bingo > Fadc > u1 because ex bingo seems to be a good way to get them off you when they're too close. Cody really has no other good "get off me" options besides ex bingo, and bad spray isn't that useful really, lol. But also if you have time hk ruffian > fadc > u1 is a great anti air combo for the dmg it does.

Rocks have more practical use in general though it seems. If you have momochi reactions then rocks against any fireball character severely limits their zoning game.

Then again spending 3 meters total to make ex bingo safe really sucks, I only try to use it when I feel like I'm confident in my next read since it has great invincibility.
