I didn't like throw it or anything lol, just smacked my hand down kinda hard on it. It looks like I fixed it, I think what happened was when I slapped it the dualmod chip came loose a little and part of that pcb that wasn't covered with electrical tape was touching the stick switches making them short out. That's not a normal thing for me either but fucking shit that guy was lame, the part that set me off was that I actually made good reads and got in twice per round but dropped my combos and the just mashed cartwheel dp to kick me out then went back to fireball spam.

edit: I guess the good news is that it wasn't because of my throw techs not going through for a change

I finally got around to Sanwa modding my buttons on it and got online last night after taking forever off to play other games in my backlog. Difference is like night and day when it comes to sensitivity. I'm still scrubbing it pretty hard but I'm making progress and having fun playing. 160PP and counting with an 18% win rate...

I think I might need a new stick though. it's kinda wobby in the "right" direction and isn't as sensitive as left since I need to push it further to get it to go off. Pretty sure it happened when I let my friend try Blazblue one time. The guy can't go easy on anything he owns and really slams controls around. I thought he was gonna snap my joystick off the controller.

Who do you guys usually practice combos on in training? From playing last night I know I can punish jump ins from Fei Long with Cody's U2 but not everyone so I was wondering if there was generally a default practice dummy people use.

I generally practice on characters I know are played in Milwaukee/Chicago (which is pretty well-rounded). But because Gen is so goddamn character specific with his untechable gekiro and oga setups, I usually end up using everybody now and again.

Which reminds me, need to check and see if they fixed HK gekiro whiffing on one of Cody's alt costumes...

I tend to practice against characters with smaller hurtboxes that I need to use more conservative moves on, usually anything that will hit Ryu will hit someone like Cody, but not the other way around.
