Fuck, I just got my ass handed to me by a Chun. Lost like 10 in a row. I went to srk to check his match up and it's 'in progress.' Really? The game's been out for four fucking years and they don't have jack shit. Youtube'd Maeda and the one's I found he lost. Salty as fuck. ;x

as far as im concerned, maeda is still one of my favorite players and i consider him the best balrog. he built the foundation of what other balrog players used, and went their own ways in. PR rog never dashed ultra fireballs before maeda did, and maeda did it on reactions on COUNTER fucking hits back when sagat was broken. he was truly the #1 rog and still is to me lol. he just doesnt practice as much since he discovered the opposite sex, but his boy eita is still doing ok

Yeah, I learned quite a bit from watching his vids, but haven't seen anything new as of late. I wonder why he almost never included c.mp/c.mk in his combos; I guess he thought it was too big of a gamble because it has to end w/ a headbutt (for knock down).

anything he did was for a reason. he was just as good as daigo on adapting to his opponent imo. and he used to be a force to be rocked with. during one of those diago's bouts, the only people that really gave him a run for his money on those 10 different people were maeda, kindevu, and momochi using ryu back in vanilla, but he didnt play super at all. eita, RF, and a whole bunch of others got bodied by him. and towards the end of vanilla, he was getting older and getting more into girls and shit lol. his footsies are really oldschool, but he absolutely loathed using headbutt ultra for damage scaling, so he would actually combo off it a jab into it from just 2 hit confirms. he made me a fan right there. but he JUSTTTTT started playing casually on AE, and idk if he even plays 2012. he's still pretty solid lol. i dont think hes the best, RIGHT NOW, but he can be if he really put as much time as he used to on it.

watching hm play was poetic lol. i didnt even like bison back than, but he was still my fav player. he was the fuckin' sagat killer lol. everyone had a grudge against that asshole, and eita, maeda and daigo are the only ones who loved that matchup while everyone avoided else it lol
but you can see why

he didnt plink MP that much back than because he didnt study the hit box on everyone. the mp doesnt work on some back than with weird hitboxes, like blanka for example, so he just jabbed.

but he did this stuff 2 years ago. stuff that still looks good, even today lol

PR rog, gootecks or whatever rog players didnt do this shit 2 years ago. i can tell you that. super, maybe

PR Rog was doing it, Gootecks no. Pr Rog is far and away the best Rog player in the world. Several JP have even said none compare to him.

Found out we have an arcade on campus, so I went and played a few games on the AE cabs. Holy shit battops and in-line buttons are terrible. Dropped a ton of FADCs, throws, and had random specials come out because of it. Not to mention they were worn out as fuck and weren't sensitive at all. Feelsbadman.

i think now he is, but 2 years ago his foundation for balrog play was totally different. PR rog adapted this playstyle in super, 1 year later after these vids came out, and daigo still bodied him because he relied too much of dash ultra in that money match. maeda never needed those to win, but he made mago and every one else terrified to throw them. everyone except daigo for some reason. so i think PR rog is the best NOW, but its too hard to tell without seeing it for myself who would be better in their primes, lol. maeda is still my all time fav

That time when PR Rog played Tokido on Final Round, was the first time I have ever seen a top Japanese player looking mind fucked when playing someone from the US. Was amazing and hyped as fuck.
