@ragnus
Use u2 for cody better, u1 is pretty useless in a lot of situations.

Calli, you need to learn the SRK+K > 1 HP mixup with Sak off combos. I forgot the name of the Sak that always uses it, but its not Uryo and it works great. I'll try to find video.
chris g, i think.
Juso is the player who uses it a lot, though I'm having trouble finding examples. Basically after ex hurricane kick, he takes an extra step or two (while opponent falling) and he does otoshi into only 1 punch and then he can control which side he lands on for a mixup into throw or cr+lk.
Here is another cool trick you can do, but this wasn't exactly what I was talking about:

Yeah you can actually do that mixup with all kinds of shit, j.lp, j.lk, j.hp, walk > s.lp > dash, or in the corner cr.hp. I think where I fucked up was using cr.lp instead of cr.lk.
If you're quick you can also use j.lk on reaction as an AA and do the same mixup from there.
Going to learn her once I stop playing other games and get back to SF.
No thanks, I'd rather not lose a larger percentage of my mirrors than I already do lol.
Oh yeah shine, I meant to rant yesterday but fell asleep...I'm not salty about the fact that your friend uses taunts, but the fact that taunts are fully cancelable is fucking retarded, lol. Using taunts to disrespect someone when you're dominating a match is acceptable, but it shouldn't be 100% risk-free.
Calli, he also thinks you have a funny name. He played FFXI on Alexander (Bruin)
Lol Bruin. That lil dude was in my LS. I loved that cat. Tell him I said whats up and lets play sometime.
Thinking about going back for a taste of Vanilla and taking Abel back out for a spin soon. I'll let you guys know when I'm on so a lobby can possibly get set up.
I should be back on for a bit tonight, I'll get home at about 6:45pm CST.
I have a family dinner tonight so I'll see what time I get back from that. Probably be on around the same time I was last time if I can make it on tonight.
I ended up taking apart my joystick and reseating the micro switches. It seemed to add some sensitivity back to the right directional. I was really dreading having to buy a new one.
I'm a bit flippant on this, but I'm going to let this rock.
So some local "game center" that I had never even heard of decided to announce that they were going to hold an SF4 tournament. Apparently payout is only for first place for a static amount of $75. Buy-in is $15. This happened while we had our local fight night last night. Pretty sure it became the butt of jokes afterwards, when a few people explained that the place is just a glorified hole-in-the-wall cybercafe/PC repair shop that wouldn't be able to handle a Milwaukee FGC tournament.
Milwaukee's monthly tournaments for SF4 usually run 16-32 people (and goes even higher if people from out of state show, eg. Chicago). Buy-in is $10 with a 70/20/10 split. If 16 show up, you're walking away with $116. 2nd place and 3rd place are walking away with money as well. We run multiple games. We take in no venue fee, nor do we take a portion of the pot for overhead. We run everything as transparent as possible, giving access to viewing brackets (I run a 2nd monitor purely for people to have a glimpse at so they don't get in my way at the bracket station), player lists, etc. We have a solid venue. The only thing we're lacking is hardware, which is something we're working on improving. More hardware = more casuals and more machines to dedicate to tournament = better able to handle high turnouts, not to mention encourage higher turnouts. The only thing that is missing is a stream, which is also in the process of being ironed out (I'm primarily concerned about the bandwidth of the venue).
So knowing all of that, why in the fucking hell would you try to advertise your little podunk tournament over an established monthly, when it looks shady as fuck? Wisconsin may look free compared to Chicago, but they're not fucking stupid.
FREEWAUKEEEEE
Too bad Chicago actually has a real scene now, can't get in on ripping people off like that.
I wish I could get to Chicago more often. The downsides of holding a real job.
If Nickel City is going to be opening for casuals on weekends like Tactics said, I will definitely have to make it down a couple of times a month.
