Did someone just say that Ibuki is one of the hardest characters in the game?
Seriously?

You spam MK into spin kicks. Vortex is dumb level easy. She has slide and an overhead that can't be grabbed. AND Her BnB involves a freaking target combo.
Akuma actually has 1 frame links, requires an understanding of high/low and left/right mixup, and uses fireballs. Yeah he's a shoto, but he's the least shoto of all the shoto characters. If you want to play Akuma, start with Ryu. If you want to play Ibuki, play Ibuki.
To play her like Sako or Iyo? Yes...lol.
No one on BG can go in training mode and do Tsumuji loops without dropping it. I'm not even talking about against a live opponent. Also, no plinking the LP.
She requires the most SJ cancels in the game to play her at her best (Sako level). Way more than Viper.
If you really want to learn Ibuki, here you go, but considering all she has to her, she is the hardest to learn fully besides Juri IMO:

I don't think 99% of players realize simple things like Sweep combo > Comand dash requires super jump canceling...lol. If more did, they would understand how dificult she is.
21:07 in the video for the start of the above example.
We're not talking about Iyo or Sako level, we're talking about entry level. Ibuki has way more short cuts and easy shit to handle for a new player.
Can't time a safe jump? USE KUNAI
Can't link cr. jab into st. mk? USE LK~MK TARGET COMBO
Can't SJC into U2 from a target combo? USE ULTRA 1
Can't perform Tsumuji links? USE TARGET COMBO INTO NECKBREAKER FOR FREE VORTEX
Don't act like Ibuki is some rediculously hard character to play. My day 1 Ibuki was vortexing people left and right. Learning Akuma's vortex alone is infinitely harder than anything Ibuki does besides SJC combo's (which aren't even required to be effective with her).
90% of the players here can't lank Akuma HK>LP>sweep loop without fucking up so that point is moot.
By default, any target combo is easier than a link and several characters have them. I guess if you want to just learn target combos she is easy? lol.
To be great with her, she is one of the hardest. Same for any character that requires SJCs to be good or holding down buttons (Juri)
Tsumuji loops give so much stun :D
I'm fully aware of her SJC being hard. My point is she doesn't absolutely need them to be effective. Ibuki can be played effectively without any of that. Akuma players can't win unless they play especially lame (which he says he doesn't want to do) or if he learns what a safe jump is, how to use them, and how they work against the cast. Akuma doesn't have a one size fits all vortex like Ibuki does.
Stop hatin' on my gal. She is the cutest <3
He wasn't asking which were the hardest in the grand scheme, he was asking which was hardest for a new player. Yes all he should be learning is target combo's at the start because focusing on SJC and 1 frame links will only discourage him from playing. Akuma has a shit load of tough links and no easy way to perform them. Ibuki can be played with scrub level execution and still does what she does, just less effectively.
Edit: I'm not hating, I'm just trying to keep it real! Ibuki is good.
Easy character for a new player to learn? I'd actually recommend Rufus. Yeah there's that one frame link bnb, but Galactic Tornado is safe on block anyway. Plus he has a dive kick and easy target combo to ultra.

Don't be stupid and try the game first, you may not even like it. Hell, refrain yourself from buying an expensive stick too. Play the game at least for a few weeks to get the taste. If you like it/see yourself investing a lot of time, then think about purchasing a stick or not.
A stick is vital, so yeah, try before you buy. You will want a MadCatz TE; do not buy a shitty cheap stick.
Stop recording hockey ffs...
I don't record it, I stream it lol. Both require the same capture device.
SF > hockey any day of the week, time of the year
