Cammy is still an awful matchup, lol. I've gotten a lot more comfortable against her, but that retarded crossup where she does a high cannon strike that you block in front, but she lands behind still gets me all the time. Probably the single biggest adjustment I've made against her is just backdashing after FA'ing cannon strikes. I lose out on anything more than a sweep after the crumple if I get a level 2, but there were so many times where I'd just get a level 1 and dash into a cannon spike.
We can play tonight if you like after 6:30 est, i'm free til 11 then i gotta go to a party.
i got mine for about 170$

Pic of my stick too, if you get one GET TOURNAMENT EDITION(TE) NOT STANDARD EDITION(SE) or you'll kick yourself.
A real stick is going to set you back about $140. You can buy the lower tier MadCatz stick for $60 to begin with and eventually swap out the parts for better ones for another $60ish(this is pretty much mandatory, even if you could deal with the shitty stock parts they'd eventually just break), but if you can swing it I'd recommend just buying a MadCatz TE or Hori Real Arcade Pro up front.
edit: a stick that works on both XBox and PS3(you'd eventually want one if you ever wanted to do tournaments and such) will run closer to $200.
saw a high resolution picture of her face up close
shes mixed i didn't know Asians had freckles holy shit they make my dick soft, face looks so leathery in the picture i saw..
now if he went back to the pictures of this bitch

Do the world a favor
You can also try to get a qanba Q4RAF or an eightarc fusion(my current stick now) if you want an awesome dual modded stick right out of the box. You can net one for $180, my TE i got on promotion for $100 at amazon a while back, always look for deals and promo codes here and there. Especially during streams.
Protip: This was my avatar for a good time, a while ago, lol. I'll switch to an old sig I suppose to appease you gaiz <_<
Also, thanks for the tips on the sticks, I think if anything I might just go with a cheap stick version. Also, would it be detrimental to just learn the game on a 360 controller at first then switch over later? Like, would I have to pretty much completely relearn the game or does it transfer somewhat?
If you get a Hori, just make sure you get the VX-SA version, should be ~120 or so on Amazon. The standard HRAP-VX uses Hori buttons which are supposed to be pretty awful.
It's fine to start on pad to learn basic game mechanics and stuff like that, that all transfers over just fine. Sticks just make execution a lot easier, it takes a little while to get back up to speed once you make the transition, but doing more advanced stuff is far easier on an arcade stick once you get comfortable with it.
Don't get me wrong, behind MMA, ice hockey is my favorite sport. But SF is better than both. Oh and Rose is best female. Dat accent.
Well first I have to learn at least some bnb combos and stuff, not to mention I only have SSFIV, not AE. Thanks thoughI'm torn though, since apparently you have to play cheap to be good at Akuma? Vega seems too low tier and is mostly lame poking, but I do like how he flies across the screen, wonder if an aggressive vega is viable? Nerf to his range bc of loss to claw sucks as well. I tried to do the challenges with him, but I can't do his specials, super or ultras for shit. Has something to do with the Z pattern, I think. iunno.
Daigo vs Haitani:
An aggressive vega will revolve around counter pokes, frame traps, tick throws. Using a charge char will prob give you a good defense at first. (ur holding down back alot choosing your spots to attack)
and nothing will prepare you for what is online scrubbery lol.. just best to dive in.. gonna be a bumpy ride
anybody wanna play on pc for an hour ?
1) In high level play, there's no such thing as cheap*. Sitting back and throwing fireballs and making an opponent force their way in isn't cheap, it's strategic zoning. Random DPs aren't cheap, they're risk/reward, if the person you're playing is worth their salt they'll know the times where it'll be likely for you to mash one out, block it, and make you pay for it.
2) Vega is awful, and not a good place to start imo. iirc even shit like linking his jabs is a one-frame link, not a good starter character.
*throwing is cheap, stupid missed techs online lol
Calli, you can't beat my Yun anymore o.O
I know I'm late but momochi needs to drop Cody that character is fucking trash. Stick to Akuma or Ken.
Agreed. He was the only Akuma better than Tokido.
He was THE Akuma, matter a fact.
i liked him, too. he wasnt nearly as gimmicky as tokido. he was all footsies, and spacing lol
