So remember when we all seen "content aware" and thought it was the most amazing thing ever? Well, it is. Sure, it's not perfect, but it's the ultimate time saver. Well, now for a new toy. Something I absolutely hate when taking pictures is getting a blurry shot. I do a lot of candids as you can imagine (I have kids), so sometimes the AF isn't as fast as my children. Look at this shit...

That's cool, though I really wish PS would work on their 3D options. I'd love to be able to paint directly on 3D models like I can in Bodypaint without switching between a million applications...

I saw a tech demo for this years ago, but the concept required that the camera in question recorded motion-information of the camera itself into the image's meta/exif data. As for how common camera's with motion-sensors in them are these days, I've no clue.

Same tech demo show (might've been Siggraph?) also had crazy shit like completely smoothing out a shaky-hand video footage.

All that's left for Photoshop now is Uncrop and Flop.

I still dont know why Adobe hasnt picked this up yet.. I dont think PS can even do this in a none on the fly way either? Content aware doesnt seem to work in a large scale, or in reverse.

I've seen Lytro pictures before, which is about the closest thing I've seen to fix focus issues in post.

Looks cool though, I like seeing a lot of the crazy algorithms that people come up with for media editing programs to make them less time consuming and more streamlined, opens up a lot of options for not-so-rich people to do really awesome things (like FreddieW for instance) just by putting forth a bit more effort than your run of the mill art student (black and white photos of a leaf don't make you an artist fyi)

Lol omg, my digital art class is right next to the photography class. Students put up their B&W photos the other day. A few were of leaves, one was of a handicap license plate, a fence, grass, etc. Inc. new generation of "photographers" lol
