While doing some ultimately unfruitful crit testing a while back (I was too close to the crit rate cap to draw any kind of conclusions) I ran into something quite befuddling regarding accuracy.
This was the baseline testing wearing no crit gear
This was with crit gear, which had more accuracy due to explorer's bandanna and chokerCode:You DPS: 4.95 HPS: 3.62 DMG: 44785 Total Damage Dealt: 58534 Total Attacks: 5004 Total Hits: 5001 Total Accuracy: 99.94% Evasion%: 63.83% Block%: 0.00% Parry%: 5.70% Damage abilities: . attack Dmg: 58534 Resist/Miss: 3 TotalCtr: 5001 Damaged targets: . heliodor doblyn: 58534 Damage taken: . attack: 44489 Ctr: 588 . Cluster Geyser: 296 Ctr: 2
The second gear set had 17 more ACC and 3 more DEX (explorer's calot -> explorer's bandanna +2 ACC, explorer's choker +15 acc, explorer's moccasins +3 DEX).Code:You DPS: 6.16 HPS: 5.02 DMG: 39908 Total Damage Dealt: 45038 Total Attacks: 3848 Total Hits: 3847 Total Accuracy: 99.97% Evasion%: 60.10% Block%: 0.00% Parry%: 5.50% Damage abilities: . attack Dmg: 45038 Resist/Miss: 1 TotalCtr: 3847 Damaged targets: . heliodor doblyn: 45038 Damage taken: . attack: 39796 Ctr: 536 . Cluster Geyser: 112 Ctr: 1
The target was R45 doblyns and I was on PGL using weathered H2H. I can confirm that the 1 miss in the second parse was not a bug, as I happened to notice my accuracy drop from 100% when I was moving from 1 mob to the other (used the same 2 mobs and alternated to let them regen) so I actually looked back in the log and saw it myself.
The only sense I can make of it is that accuracy does indeed have a cap, and it's obscenely high. The likelihood of having 99.9x% accuracy, adding more, and still having 99.9x% says to me that 100% accuracy is likely not possible.
