Apple ID mofication problem

Hi until today i used an address that we will call [email protected] that is my apple ID. My iPhone and Mac are linked to that for the apps and everything.

Updated my macs to 10.7.2 and iPhone to Ios5 and wanted to move everything to iCloud

so made an email [email protected] and linked my calendar contacts email etc.

But I cannot change my Apple ID because it says that my apple ID is kinda already linked.

So if go on iTunes and sign in with [email protected] it works but it still says [email protected]

My goal is to delete my gmail account and i'm scared that it might kill my apple account also.

Any plan? (I don't wanna restart at 0 cuz i have lots of paid apps and etc

Its an annoying problem plenty of people's suffering from. Apple is currently working on a system that'll allow you to merge your accounts.

meh on iCloud -_- It's no different than Google Sync for the last 2 years to be honest. In fact so far in my testing Google Sync still pushes a touch faster than iCloud does. I've had some iCloud emails go 2-3 minutes long to get pushed to my phone.

I changed my Apple account PW then I was able to log in properly on iCloud. Only way I was able to get it to recognize my ID. And on iCloud.com, the ONLY service that works for me is Contacts. So idk...
