If you plan on buying any goodies at Blizzcon expect to pay between $100 and $200 depending on your self-control. The t-shirts alone run like twenty bucks a pop. My talking murloc plushie was $40. Things like the ceramic steins cost...$80 I think?

:S I don't have good self control for stupid stuff like that lol. I'll have to start saving and talk to him about it.
Are there any cheapish hotels nearby the convention center?
I bought some posters in '08, but outside of that have avoided the stores there like the plague. Tons of overpriced shit that I could easily talk myself into given enough time.
Also, the lines for the stores too HOURS to get through, standing up, and with little to no content to watch from the line depending on how far in you were. I don't know if they have improved that at all since '08 (I know ticket redemption has been gotten like 1000% faster). If I REALLY wanted something, I'd just buy it from their online pre-sale thing.
Pretty sure the pre-sale thing is over, but standing in line for hours really does suck. Not sure if they fixed it last year since i couldn't go but two years ago it was easily a 4-5 hour wait in line and there was no guarantee the thing you wanted wasn't sold out by the time you got to the front.
I strongly recommend you get your loot shopping done really fucking early in Blizzcon if you don't feel like waiting a few months for it to show up at the Jinx/Blizzard Store when they restock it. Remember that Jinx's stock in particular is never con-exclusive, so you're better off only buying things you're sure you want then and there, like gifts for others or genuinely con-exclusive stuff.
I hate all of you as I don't get to go this year. ;_;
But I offer you this challenge:

@ lines for loot @ Blizzcon.
This is a tricky subject. Sure, if you get in early you are bound to get the stuff you want, but holy shit you will wait forever and waste hours of time you could be on the floor playing games or at a panel of somekind. If you go later, lines are a joke and you can just walk right in and get your stuff- however the hottest items will be gone.
So imo, it depends on what you want to do @ blizzcon. If goodies are really important, then the long wait is worth it, if not just forget about that and spend your time on the real stuff as there are usuall long lines anyway.
In line now. Gonna be a longggg wait
Anyone going to be hosting the stream by any chance?

Free D3 for 12 month subscribers to WoW is genius.
I guess I'm not quitting WoW for D3 after all.
It's not really worth it unless you plan on actually playing WoW for 6+ months, still cheaper to buy D3 separately.
Image stolen from MMO Champ and seems to be slow, so please be patient:

Can someone tell me if this is a game that is out? I can't find any thing about it, but Lich King looks so badass there! It says dota, which is Defense of the Ancients?
It's Blizzard DOTA, which I assume will be a mod for SC2.
