Another CS cycling topic

Well, just the Fuji was stolen -.- 3 weeks prior, my uncle "cleaned" out the shed by throwing everything away, which included my 3 back up bikes (that motherfucker).

I'm still waiting on their reply email, so idk yet if it's already sold, so I don't want to accept anyone's monetary assistance just yet cause even though I'm black, I'd feel bad if it wasn't used for the purpose it was sent.

Though, I do have a question. Why do you prefer hybrids to road bikes? For me it's the other way around.

Road > Hybrid > mountain > Pee wee Herman bike > bmx > novelty bikes (like that retarded motorcycle looking one)

depends on how long his uncle is in jail for this time. also CS are you factoring in the cost of a good lock for your bike?

personally I ride a road bike, but I don't commute with it. for the kind of commuting and abuse your bikes likely go through, a hybrid seems like a much better fit, and safer.

I like the idea of a good trek hybrid, however, I've had a 8.4 DS on "order" for no shit, 6 fucking weeks, and they don't know when it will come in, they said it could be any week, or it could be january... which is fucking fail. Apparently trek grossly underestimated the amount of orders they would recieve this year, and a search around the internet for the past couple weeks have revealed jack and shit for used/new comparable models...

I'm driving up to Roanoke,VA next week, and i'm probably gonna stop by REI in atlanta and buy the cannondale quick CX3 ... Had a buddy that loved his cannondale, so i think i'll like it. honestly CS, if you got the 150 that's probably a good bike that will last you a while.

Lol, well that blue was was short lived. Tire ripped open Sunday night, been riding it on the rim, snapped in half today

The was worthless anyways. Spokes were poking the tube in 4 places and is what caused the initial tire rip. Combo of the tire being worn down and the spoke just ended up going right through it.

Aside from that, this would be my fourth bike I've ridden on a rim, the last of which, i rode for over a month and none of the other 3 have snapped. This is a first

Lastly, this bike I got from some garage sale for $15, this was only meant to be the intermission bike until I could find a more suitable replacement to begin with. Paying to repalce the tire and the tube would have taken from my savings for a new bike.

It's gone, so I'd assume so.

Came home one day last week and the dog was nowhere to be found. I'm going to assume my uncle had arranged for one of his friends to come pick the thing up, but I can't say for certain.

Someone was def in the house though since shit was moved around.

Is there any difference functionality/performance wise between a girl's bike and a guy's bike. Pretty desperate for a replacement at the moment, don't have the luxury of waiting around and this one is pretty cheap on craigslist

top bar lower so easier to get on. Also, length from seat post to handlebar post tends to be shorter to accommodate a generally shorter torso length but that can easily be fixed via adjusting seat and handlebar position.

Other than that (and colors)..... basically the same as a guy bike.

yessir and part of 2 clubs, about to go volunteer at ronald mcdonald house for one of them in a 3ish hours. Prolly put 1.5 hours until then into studyin for my microbio test and the other 1.5 into ff4 on my DS, lol
