What I don't get is it says this in the patch notes:

"When changing to a class for which action bar settings have been saved, those settings will automatically be loaded. Any recast timers in place will not be reset by changing classes."

Maybe it's a bug.

Recasts will be consistent across all classes' action bars, provided the ability is set to those bars.

Let's say you have Second Wind on your PGL action bar and your MRD action bar. You use Second Wind on your PGL, wait 10 seconds, then swap to your MRD. Second Wind will resume its countdown from 50s, not 60s. You wait another 10 seconds and swap to your ARC, which also has Second Wind equipped. The recast for SW is now 40s. 10 more seconds. Back to your PGL: 30s. Now back to your MRD. Your recast is now diamonds.

That's good to know. I guess it pays to have Rebirth set to your crafting classes at least.

And back on the recast thing, my Tranquility always seems to start at 10 minutes even if it's on the class I switch to. I've had odd occasions where Rebirth will tick down from an hour too.

I think recast is only maintained if the class you switched from is capable of using that skill. Tranquility is an obvious example, and the first thing I tested after the bar update; if you could maintain Tranquility recast simply by equipping to every job's bar, SE would have just undone the patch that they implemented late last year (to keep DoW from equipping a wand, using Tranquility, then immediately switching back, or mages getting both Exaltation and Tranquility every 10 min by job swapping).

Apparently he's been touring abroad giving interviews, and the next livestream is tomorrow, so I'm guessing we won't be seeing any answers for a few more days at the very least. Probably not for a while.

It's weird though because only CON can use Raise II and Rebirth but switching to a craft with them on bar doesn't always reset them. But like I say sometimes Rebirth will initiate a 1 hour timer which makes no sense at all. I'm guessing there's a bug or two somewhere.
