In terms of meritable 2 hours, did they fix 2 hour balance yet?
Like how BLU's 2 hour is kind of useless compared to SCH or how BST 2 hour is also kind of useless compared to like every other job aside from one or two situations?
Won't be excited unless they balanced existing 2 hours first (or else I'm sure we'll get something like BST's new 2 hour adds a 5hp regen to pet while another job 2 hour is an instawin button).
SCH's Tabula Rasa was adjusted last update, and will be adjusted further from next month's update. As things stand, being able to Embrava an entire ally is godly for zergs.
BLU 2hr got adjusted awhile back where every spell basically gets Chain/Burst Affinity applied, allowing you to do non-stop self-skillchains if you have the right spell set up, making for some crazy dmg if you're lowmanning.
(cause everyone knows someone in a large group will just interupt the SC anyways)
BST 2hr......, 'eh, their pets are strong enough to not warrant it getting an adjustment. Was handy back in the days where you charmed shit, but those days have long since passed.

Really, the job that should be complaining the most is Red Mage. It went from one of the most popular jobs in the game to an endangered species nearly overnight. And if RDM does get anything, it is either given to every other mage, of situational use, or completely useless. And by "completely useless", I mean "Temper".

You're forgetting the "Gain" line of spells, which is incredibly useful for . . . stuff . . . kind of. . . . . . . . . . . . ellipsis ellipsis . . . . . . . .

Well, If you're counting the SMN+2 set as a benefit, RDM+2 Set is pretty amazing. the Set bonus is quite nice though I'm sure someone will try to play it down for the sake of doing it. Adding nearly ~80% more Duration to buffs in itself is quite useful.

Then you tell that new person to meet your group at X time on Y job, if they're not there, too bad so sad. If they want to keep doing VW with you guys, have them get the clears and upgrade their abyssite on their own, or help them through it.
its really NOT that big of a requirement. Look at einherjar...yes one person needed 9/9 feathers to enter Odin, yet to enter the fight you need 1/3 per wing, which has to be re-farmed every time. THATS a nuissance. Clearing t1/t2 NM's once each to teleport to the new area is NOT a hurdle. Be glad that SE made it that anyone can get drops without having an abyssite related to the fight.
My issue with this roadmap is that it says 6 months, but everyone fucking knows this will be a year and a half.
Only use my +2-set composure gets use of is Refresh.
For everything else I buff, the WHMs seem to overwrite it with their lower-duration version regardless.
Far as Nyzul goes, I have all the sets, weapons, and a floor 100 disc. I've certainly exhausted its content short of chasing a Mythic, and lol @ that. Color me skeptical on quality of new loot and ease of accessibility.
As for Ein, I've got all the Ichor items, yoinked an E.Body and A.Body from Odin, and basically haven't looked back since the Shadow/Phantasmal set sucked. I have no interest in "harder" chambers that will still basically be the same event. And unless they put new items in the Ichor pool, we'll probably be looking at shitty drop rates from the bosses or end chest. Viva La Tanaka.
Limbus? I got my Homam set, Brutal, and Loquacious Earring. Have I been lazy on +1s? Sure. Were many items worth +1ing? Nope. This perhaps has the greatest potential depending on what SE's inevitable plans to +2 AF/Relic are, but forgive me for being iffy on yet more of the same.
WoE will be popular initially, then fade into obscurity again. Genius move on SE's part with the whole "only get rewarded for the clear" thing. Drop rates still suck.
People have babbled enough on Voidwatch, but we still know nothing about Dungeon Crawl or Last Stand to legitimately get excited. I doubt I'm alone in hoping they'll be more like Abyssea in terms of loot acquisition and progression than Voidwatch.
Job updates can be hit or miss. Awesome if your job gets a good buff, annoying if yours is ignored or gets something terribad. But really, such things should be an expectation with the cap increases and not some bonus SE decided to grace us with. I share Septimus' frustration toward RDM, but I also don't see Temper as useless depending on how aggressive SE might get with job refinements. PUPs and SCHs certainly have a lot to look forward, at least. Aside from WARs, WHMs, and MNKs currently sitting pretty, I think every other class has something about it that needs some attention called to it, and I'm not just talking about adding a JA or Spell and calling it a day. Some are just outright flawed in terms of matching concept to performance.
Honestly, the thing that's caused my final retirement (I.e Bret farvin it) wasn't the lack of content, but the quality of said content. I need that story, that, for lack of a better term lol, fantasy that reminds me of the person I would be in a similar situation. None of the new content really has any of this.
Its literrly just patches of activities, which I'm realizing for me just doesn't cut it anymore.
Honestly the dungeon Crawler interests me the most out of all that stuff. Unless the do something epic with the entirity of vana'diel, the dungeon Crawler would be the only thing I might log in again, and I would compare that with a 2_3 hour session of call of duty modern warefare.
I canceled again because the last update was basically "chase low drop rates again!" boring, been there done that have no interest in not getting rewarded for my time.
Who knows, dungeon crawl could be cool but we'll see. The new merits could be cool, a lot of that stuff could be cool but the word "could" is everything here.
Oh I think playing with the job abilities,fighting new mobs,etc. Will be awesome, but I need to have some substance as to why I suddenly have a new 2hr to play with, or how does stopping the monsters benifet me, other than with new gear.... I wanna see a new prishe... or a corrupted soul gain some redemption for his past sins(raogrim).
This is why I picked up 14 again... the planned content has, what could be, an epic story tied into it. But definetly not advocating that switch on these forums yet. Lol...
None of those areas are really that bad to get to...

Anyone can just cruor tele to ifrits with basic Zilart abyssite and going to kazham. If theyre bothered enough to take part they can afford to do just that. Not much excuse there
