aoe deathgrip. i cant stop drooling. Fuck the haters, i'm looking forward to this new stuff. They're actually listening to complaints and trying to inject some fun into the game again.

I was actually quite bored of my Warlock, it being my original character and raided with him through 3 expansions and told myself I was going to reroll for the next expansion (even more so now they have confirmed achievements will be battle-net account wide) but looking at Warlock's new abilities and talent changes I am drawn back in instantly.
Slightly anxious that not all of it will make release as it seems a few thinks might be a bit OP, especially grimoire of supremacy.
Not even slightly interested in the druid talents.
Judging by the warlock talents, I'm guessing demo tanking made it in. No purchase from me if it doesn't, lol.
^This. While I bitch and moan a lot, all I want to see is the game be fun and have a lot to do other then show up for raid and everyone look and feel the same. Transmog was a step in the right direction and I like how the timed dungeons will just reward cool looking gear to Transmog off of which is awesome. You won't have to sit and be like "oh well I need to do this dungeon at this speed to upgrade my stats!" it will just be for looks.
Resil as a base stat seems ok to me, but I still despise arena..maybe with all these new talents though it will change. I know Pallies and DKs are getting ground abilites to prevent CC and slows which will be amazing and fun.
I'm wondering what release date will be.
Thought this idea seemed dumb at first, but it really does seem like a breath of fresh air for the game. Was hoping for a Pandaren samurai or ninja class, but monk will do. I'm looking forward to the references Blizz will pay to kung-fu movies and whatnot for the class.
I definitely think that challenge-mode dungeons is a good thing. The talent stuff...ehhh...needs a shitton of iteration before it'll be workable. For druids, the talents are all like "take this talent to be better at what you do", "take this talent to be better at what you don't do", "take this talent if you are PvPing". IE, totally boring.
I don't think I want to do a pure dps again. I did it for cata as warlock and enjoyed it for a while, same with rogue, but the idea of being able to dip into other talent abilities and change on the fly makes me want to do a class that can at least do 2 things.
Since monk sounds annoying as fuck having no auto-attack, and having to jab and punch and kick manually, I'll probably do either Warrior if melee, or Priest if I want a caster. Rogue still has some chance but with another leather user and 1h user I doubt it. Lock looks great too though, but im afraid of pure dps.
I just like that they're really trying very hard to get us out of stormwind and orgrimmar. Yeah people lol at wow-pokemon, but i know i'll be out in the field doing it in off time. Challenge modes for transmog sets, i mean they're making an honest effort to get us out again. It feels like after last expansion of them plugging their ears at our complaints they're finally listening again. And i'm holding judgement on the talent changes. One it's early and they'll change, two, while there's still going to be a "best spec" which we'll never get away from, there seems like alot more quality of life talents we can play with. Neutral city is great too. I missed that.
edit: I LOVE corpse explosion is back, but i wish the old unholy blight was back, too. The level 90 frost talent seems like a close facsimile at least.
I really like their new design to add VP to a lot of different high level activities : it pushes players to try what's outside and not just queue for another dungeon because that's the only way their gear can progress.
i like the shaman talents
World Of Warcraft: Pandas and Pokemon.
Why do they keep trying to remove "cookie cutter builds"? You would think they might realize that no matter what they do there will always be a best spec. I'm also kind of upset that they wouldn't make a main villain of the expansion. It seems like it would be so much easier to make a cool mega boss whose evil ways force the Pandaren to seek help from the horde and alliance rather then "During our navel battle we coincidentally discovered a whole continent previously hidden!" I mean, why would they fight large navel battles far away from any cities or landmasses or anything they would somehow provide a bonus to whomever controlled it?
It's still way to early to make any real judgement, but nothing has me jumping out of my seat in excitement yet.
I examined the talents for the classes I play, and I honestly don't see that much of a best spec at the moment. Through time I guess EJ will crunch out an ideal spec, but at the moment this lets us very freely choose how we want to play that suits our playstyle (and I guess now ... shits situational)
i.e. on Rogue, Shadowstep can now be chosen should you want it (a rejoicing moment). Each "tier" clearly has a pro/con aimed at categories like DPS, Survival, Mobility. They made it now so it's quite near impossible to choose the best spec, because you'd have 10million people arguing about it.
For pure classes, most of the tiers are just picking between different survivability/utility talents. It won't be cookie cutter in the traditional sense, it will be more about picking talents based on the current fight, which is still dumb design imo, but whatever.
Can we stop making threads starting with the name 'Random' in front of the title? Kind of retarded.
I was only going with the trend!![]()
Half of the shit they listed sounds broken, I bet you a lot of it gets nerfed due to pvp crying.
Resil as a base stat, increasing as you level, along with everything else coming with 5.0 MIGHT make low level PvP good, so I may return to the game. Still waiting to see a place where I can see a bit more info on talents (MMO has a lot, but I want to see their current full listing). From what I'm seeing though you only get anything to spend every 10 levels or so, which is lame as shit, I want a talent every level.
panda racial is so OP... the food buff alone makes it OP
Honestly, a lot of the stuff sounds pretty fun and has myself and a few other friends excited enough to keep our ears open and possibly play again.
Monk sounds interesting, all the new talents sound pretty interesting and fun.
