Pre-ordered the game and still can't play because they don't know how to handle AMD + intel graphics switching technology.
I read something on Reddit the other day where they were saying if you disable your card before you start the launcher and then re-enable it the game will work. Or something like that. If you search you may find the work around. It is dumb but maybe you will get to play the game a bit. :/
Game crashes for me everytime I play mission with michael franklin and the tennis coach. As soon as I turn out of michael's house it crashes to desktop and blows up Firefox with it.
Rolling back drivers (seemingly) fixed crashing.
Still has my gpu running 5-6c hotter than ever.
Bought at Best Buy last Friday. Installed and watched my buddy play for a minute. Yesterday I played for awhile and the game looks great at 1440p and seems like a lot of fun. Just got to the tow mission. Afterwards, I went to add the shortcut to Steam as I do with all non Steam games I have installed. Clicked play to start and nothing. I go to the main folder and it states "GTA V files corrupted. Re-install game." I just got done re-installing and I won't be trying that shortcut again!
A little off topic, but I purposely bought the hard copy. Maybe it's just nostalgia, or I'm just a weirdo (or dumb), but after buying a PS4 and getting hard copies of games I really like seeing what I bought and looking at the artwork (even if there isn't much to look at). Digital downloads definitely have a huge advantage, but there is something about having the hard copy that I like. I'm debating on getting Mordor in hard copy because with Gamers Club Unlocked at Best Buy it's $16 this week.
I dont think any game can actually make you use more VRAM than what you have.
It does seem to cap out pretty often at 3.4GB a lot though.
And of course when I am monitoring it in real time, my temps stay around the normal 62-63c. Granted I have not pulled an all day session like yesterday.

OpenIV, the GTA4 modding tool, has been updated to be a DAT reader for GTA5 - http://openiv.com/?p=1069
They did say San Andreas 2 is coming out and like with Max Payne and such not surprised if GTAV just has the files for the next game layin around.
No, they didn't.
For anyone that's still on the fence, GTA V is fucking amazing. I haven't enjoyed a game this much in a long time. WELL worth the $45 it cost me.

Maybe it's my eyes, but I didn't see too much of a difference between SweetFX and vanilla. I'm running a 1440p monitor on Ultra and am completely satisfied.
