The fuck do you mean it's "possible?" It happened. No ifs ands or buts about it, lol. It wasn't darkish brown and it didn't taste like chicken. It had a synthetic kinda flavor like rubber/oil.

How in the hell is that a "sweeping generalization," that was "blatantly," and "grossly misstated?" Gross things end up in food that shouldn't be there. Such is life.

What's your McRib made out of? I don't personally eat them to begin with (or anything from McDonalds for that matter), but my Hubby likes fast food and usually gets them every year. He just forwarded this link to me from work with a single sentence attached: "So yeah, um you are never going to have watch me eat McDonalds again, promise." After reading that link, I don't blame him lol.

I wish companies would go into greater detail about what all is in their processed foods. Part of me hopes that they would be turned off from purchasing it out of disgust. Then again, I suppose most wouldn't care since people still eat hot dogs and such with glee. lol

Chemicals and innards...Even if it's true, I can't take statement like that seriously.

For one, saying chemical is extremely vague, and unless they make a list of which one are bad for for your health, it's just a blanket statement. Odds is that the sodium is the most damageable here, but we know that already and that's why you need moderation with fastfood.

Innard sound gross, but it's still meat despite the lesser nutritive value. I don't see why I should find that disgusting.

Obviously not, but people often confuse "chemical" with "toxic". Just because it doesnt have a fancy name like "sugar" or "salt" doesnt make it bad.


Also, we are assuming these rumor are true, and it might not be the case (or at least, grossly exagerated).

after I read that paragraph from that food scientist explaining how the unused parts of animals are blended together, broken down, and reformed via protein manipulation into a textured product that resembles real muscle fibers in order to fool the eater into thinking it's meat, I just... I can't do it.

it's the fake muscle fiber part that gets me, I think. because seriously, fuck that.

McDonalds can be best described as just filling the role of calories taken in during the day. Just add a multi-vit on top of that and it's not *that* bad for you unless it's the only shit you eat.

Don't even understand why people try to so hard to dissuade everyone from eating obviously processed food. Unless you're eating the shit by the pounds and it's your primary dietary source for the day, no harm done. They'd probably be just as many people bitching, it'd probably be the same people too, that no one is making adequate use of the left over parts of the animal.
