doesn't 14 have a mechanism that allows you to look for a certain item, and it returns with all the people selling said item and where they are? or something like that?

Why can't the tax be lifted from AH sales, and remove the restrictions of items that generally can't be sold? It would be pretty sweet to purchase dyna currency directly from the AH. Plus this would allow a central location to purchase everything.
Dynamis currency on AH would cause wild pricing fluctuations with high and low stock, like anything else on AH that gets stocked very highly. Also there's a limit to how high the AH stock can go on any one item (255 maybe? not positive), and I guarantee the amount of Dynamis currency being sold at any given time far surpasses that limit. Plus, it would be ridiculously annoying to try to sell, say, 50 singles with the 7 item limit.
Edit: Would also be ridiculously annoying to buy any large quantity of singles.

We are aware that this will create some inconveniences, so we will be closely monitoring feedback on this and other aspects of the change.
Well, if they are determining it's that bad, then it would be best to move it. And I definitely wouldn't stay if they implimented taxes again.
or make Joachims and Horsts type dudes in other zones? not difficult
I just want to re-emphasize that this thread applies more to servers whose current and possibly previous bazaar market was in a less than ideal location (compared to other options). I know since the PJ changes were announced, players on Lakshmi have already started talking about the 'return to Rolanmart'. So really, I look at this as an opportunity to intercept and organize the player's thinking and try to redirect (if at all possible) players to a better location moving forward post PJ changes.
If your server already has a good location, then share it and explain why you like it. If your server's current and possibly last location stunk and you're worried about the return to it, or would just simply prefer a different location, please share that as well. Hopefully, we can form some sort of consensus and at the very least impact the bazaar migration on the servers that need the improvement.
They need to add Abyssea NPC's to Whitegate.
Whitegate is just as laggy without anyone in the zone. Adding VW/Abyssea warp NPCs would just make it worse.
People need to stop playing on ps2...
They already have.
Problem is that PJ is the most convenient to access everything (Furnace, AH, Abyssea, VW via Sauro/Qufim, ChocoCircuit to other Jeuno zones, NPC Vendor) as well as shit specific to that zone such as Shami, and the Limbus NPC, with the least amount of movement.
Blame SE for doing what felt like putting all ToA-related zones on a single server. Even when it's a ghosttown my 2box will fall behind on my main's position if he's not targetting him the whole time.
I've always liked rolandmart but if they'd drop tax on the choco circuit, I'd much rather have it there. I'd be up for some magian moogles in the 4 other cities too.
Actually, I just had a crazy thought. Since we know that they can add zones via download, why don't they just make a zone specifically for Bazaars? It could be a side zone from the Chocobo Circuit so that no one is congested out of the fun and usefulness that is chocobo racing, but they wouldn't have to add additional story to explain why all of the major nations connect to the one place. And if you wanted to see what everyone was selling, this would be about 1000% more useful.
I know, FFXIV did it, but it would be amazing useful.
That's a logical and forward thinking solution Sept.

The key to clearing out people bazaaring is obviously to make more shit AH'able and boost the # of items a person can AH at once from 7 to 10. Hate those unused 3 spots...
