No I just hate the personhood movement and get a kick out of following it. Looks like it didn't pass by a healthy margin. Cathy Toole didn't win agricultural commissioner though, so time to riot.
It is times like this I am so glad I live in the UK. Suggest something like this over here and you'll just get filthy looks. Don't have any of the retards from Facebook either (well, not with respect to this anyway).
You folks should be more concerned with your tax dollars being spent on tap water prescriptions for New-Age fucktards.
What about OUR tax dollar being wasted on a bunch of hillbillies driving around in circles and wasting gas?

At least homeopathy can be somewhat compared to a medical technique because placebo effect can be very strong in some cases.
from what dole said, there were a lot of people being misled by some of the assholes in charge, being told that yes was the correct vote when it was no
To me, the personhood movement is in the same level as libertarians.
typical liberals zygotes, always waiting for the govmint to hand out personhoods.
meanwhile the hardworking libertarian zygotes had to bootstrap their own rugged individualized personhoods
Silly individual organisms. Don't you know that genes are the unit of selection, and you're merely one vehicle out of many? Rights should only be granted to alleles.
Believe it or not there's actually a recent contingency of historians that have begun a trend of rewriting the dark ages. These historians suggest that calling it "dark" is unfair and pretend that it was a period of reason and ingenuity on the basis that the human species didn't roll over and die entirely and managed to eek out a few inventions.
For a few examples there's Rodney Stark's "Victory of Reason". Yes that's right the dark ages were a "victory of reason"...
As well as Thomas Woods "How the Catholic Church Built Western Civilization".
In one out of context and stupid sense there is a truth to it: that the christian churches were involved in the processes taking place that had to lead to the rennaissance and enlightenment. But that is unimportant because the church was a ubiquitous theocracy involved in every part of life, It would be like saying, well gosh Nazi rule wasn't as bad as people think! After all just look how under their rule they helped bring about the institutions of modern Germany.
The personhood movement in Colorodo just unvieled it's new proposal its putting forward for 2012.
This video was taken by the same person who authored the paper in opposition to "personhood" I've linked to previously. So he is in opposition to it but he acts as a neutral reporter here to show their new proposal.
See how long you can listen to their new proposal before becoming incensed. Some highlights:
3:08- Even in the case of rape or incest they deny you have a right to choose abortion. So sorry ladies, if you can't bear the thought of having to carry your psycho rapist brother's child then you're the immoral one for wanting to kill a precious fertilized zygote! Walk it off slugger, don't think of yourself you selfish cows. You'll manage somehow. (This is disgusted sarcasm in case there was any doubt).
5:35 - "And what is your rational basis for calling that child a person? The severing of an umbilical cord?" [emphasis mine] He then goes on directly after that rhetorical question to give his "rational basis"; that the Bible says so.
All in all they seem quite scorned and admonished from having their past proposals rejected so far. They keep mentioning how they wrote the new proposal to counter the "lies" in the media and Planned Parenthood. You see they wrote it into their bill that it's by sheer fiat of will NOT gonna do the things those guys said, so therefore it won't cause it's written on some paper! Being forced to carry your unplanned baby to term won't kill you ladies, see cause we wrote on paper that won't happen!
Also they keep attempting to allude to the idea that historically they're on the same level as abolitionists, civil rights, and women's suffrage. Hmmmm what do you suspect they might say if you asked them if they support equal rights to gay marriage? Oh, okay yeah nevermind. The "equal rights" for a zygote idea is all kinds of confused, but not only that it's a pretense because in actuality they just do it cause the Bible vaguely sort of, kind of implies it supports the things they want.
19:38- He is asked what their definition of "person" is. And is asked to clarify. Then he tries to squirm around admitting it applies to the moment of fertilization and makes uncomfortable qualified statements to hand wave.
21:00- The rest is some rather enjoyable Q&A debating the personhood rep.
It's easy to laugh if you want, and they are a joke. But they're serious and they believe they're right and won't give up. So if you don't oppose them they will make you submit to these laws.
I'll give that chick at 12:07 a personhood movement.
Opposite. I'd rape her viciously in a back alley with my nigger dick while she's ovulating and impregnate her. See if she goes through the pregnancy for shits and giggles.
