AMD 11.9+ Drivers all failing miserably

I cannot for the life of me figure out WTF im doing wrong or if it's AMD that's all fail. Any drivers past 11.9 all cannot be detected on my shit, I enter all my info correct and still my shit is not compatible with them. Thankfully 11.8 is holding up fine still even with games like Rage and Battlefield 3. I'd love to see those "improvements" AMD was boasting about, if I can just get the damn drivers to work.

Anyone else having trouble with this? I actually uninstalled every past driver as well too and STILL, same fucking problem. Yes I also tried all 3 versions of the 11.10 preview drivers, also failed.

I haven't had problems like that with AMD's drivers (well, yet anyway), but I actually had a similar-sounding problem with an older GeForce card (7900GT I think). The card i had was an early production run model, and the device identifier string in the firmware wasn't the same as the majority of that model card. It worked fine with drivers for years, but at some point or another nVidia modified the card recognition in their driver and I stopped being able to install new drivers - would say I didn't have a compatible card. I was able to get it working by modifying the model identifier string.

It's only gotten easier to do that sort of thing (this utiity offhand for AMD), but I haven't messed with that stuff personally so I can't vouch for much. Still, you could try poking around to see if your card's number match up to other's.

Have you tried the autodetect feature on the website to see which drivers it recommends? I just had to install the new drivers for BF3 and I actually have access to CCC again after upgrading.
