Can ironclad cleaver (attohwa) drop wieldance card without yellow?
Can ironclad cleaver (attohwa) drop wieldance card without yellow?
I'm debating between doing apoc or mandau for relic. I already have twashtar for thf, is mandau a lot better? I know apoc is a great ultility for drk. So my question is can anyone give me some more info/feedback about these 2 weapons? Thanks!
Apocalypse is a lot bigger of an upgrade for DRK than mandau is for THF. Especially considering you have twashtar already, it's a pretty minor increase overall really.
I need guidance on Monk. I just hit 94 and have no idea what I should be meriting. I went from 73 - 94 in two days. Besides the ws what should I be concentrating on?
Anyone know why my FFXI crashes on the downloading data screen when I try to log onto the test server?
Thanks for quick reply Darkmagi. Also is cata haste calculated as gear or magic haste? Or is it independent from those 2?
Gear haste, apocs main benefit besides from being a good DD weapon is it's ability to make changes in your tp set. Able to cap pdt/mdt while capping haste, etc.
5/5 both Counter and Kicks for group 1.
Group 2 gives you more options. Personally I went 5/5 Penance, 1/5 Formless Strikes, and 4/5 Invigorate. I know others who did 4/5 Penance, 5/5 Invig, and 1/5 Formless. Having at least 1/5 Formless is handy, and additional merits don't decrease the recast time so it's really not worth tossing more in. Mantra is fairly worthless imo.
New Relic+2 hands will increase the regen/tic of Invig based on how many merits you have, so 5/5 Invig can come in handy. This is especially true as a 4/5 Penance MNK can still fulltime Penance if paired with a 5/5 Pen MNK - and honestly, there's a lot of content now where monsters get auto-TP or Regain so Penance is less useful than it used to be outside of solo/lowman situations (where you'd also reap increasing benefits from Invig merits).
I'd also merit h2h skill if only because it's the only combat skill merit that actually increases the base damage of your weapons. Don't bother with guard.
FFXIAH seems buggy for me, I cant see my AH history, as well as comments on items from people. Anyone come across this before?
Ildebrann strat? Getting fairly owned with this pickup group. What about throwing Blms/Leviathans at it like oldschool Tiamats? Suggested it to leader but apparantly "smn do bugger all damage".
We just have our Monk pop it, pull it away a bit, and have everyone else kill the two Dragons before going in and kicking its ass normal-style. Proc/kill like any other T3. Don't let anyone be stupid enough to Flail it, including mages who should be on the sides and at maximum range to try and avoid Terror.
If it repops dragons, just pull them away and kill them again while one person holds it. As long as they go down fast enough, the DD who had hate on the Wyrm shouldn't be losing it to cures. It should not be living long enough to repop them more than once. If it does, the group isn't proc'ing and killing fast enough.
Fanatic's won't block Terror, and it lasts a long-ass time (like 60s sometimes), so if you have a couple decent stunners that's really the move you'll want to stun.
With Pet -PDT claws, both armor plates that now give -PDT, and 1-2 earth maneuvers all the time I can see it working, but not only will be slow, it is much less practical than what BSTs can do, with higher health pets and much shorter timers on their pet healing JA.
This is the strat we use. Just zerg the shit out of it as fast as possible. We tried SMN burn but it failed miserably. we tried RNG burn but it failed miserably too. We've tried tank > proc > blitz > run away method and it failed miserably.
Just zerg it and hope you get lucky with procs.
