Does Blue Mage Trait from spells (7%) stack with the 10% from /warrior? Thanks for anyone that replies

So what are the lvl 99 skill caps?
I think he means can you have triple attack set and have double attack from /war. Also there are actually a few traits that stack now. Like dual weild, fast cast, gil finder (though it becomes TH), max hp/mp boost, and store tp
Er yeah nvm I was thinking he was saying do triple attack from some reason. Mostly because no jobtraits stack for any job between main and subs so it was too silly for me to consider
Anyone got a list of BLU magic spells that do some decent damage in Voidwatch? I'm finding my melee/physical spell damage is atrocious, and seem to get better results just staying alive out of range and spamming Grudge/Whisker/Regurgitation with full on MAB/INT/MND build.
Also frees me up more slots to swap 2-3 sets of elemental triggers in also so I'm not stuck waiting a minute being useless as often.
Atrocious on which mobs? I used to do mage build but I find that now since everything has changed to zerging with fanatics, Sword does a lot more dmg than my spells. Even if you don't have CDC, Vorpal puts out very nice numbers.
Talking Ig/Rex/anything with -PDT stance. I'm idling with 523att prior to food/buffs with Badelaire+2, so perhaps I need a change of gear for that end of things. Doesn't help that I'm always stuck in the reject PT that has no support jobs outside of a healer.
Yeah I feel that pain... Especially worse with the JP imo, they always put me in "back line job" party, as they say in pt chat. You pretty much listed the good spells to use, Regurgitation, Dark orb, Grudge and whisker. I haven't gone that route on any of the new mobs so keep element resistances in mind for those (dark for kalasutrax etc). I haven't tried the new breaths either, but I'd imagine they get resisted heavily.
Frost breath does 500-750ish and I don't exactly have a breath set. Firespit, Regurg, Whisker, Thermal Pulse, Gates of Hades all do well for me. I even hit a 2k whisker which I assume was a set bonus proc.
Edit: Except on the Wivre in LaTheine, that dude takes ridiculous amounts of damage lol. Firespit at 99% for 1500=instant hate
Fire/Thunder shit seemed to work well on Rex, doing anywhere from 500 to 1.5k that I could cycle easily. Better than my sword whiffing with YCB and Starlwart's and CDCs for sub-600dmg with 937att (after buffs), then dying the second Fanatic's or Fool's wears.
Just trying to explore alternatives for this job, I hate being anywhere near melee range without Fanatics up on these later-tier VWNMs. The 1min cooldown after re-equipping spells for triggers not currently equipped is bad enough.
So, I'm just starting up again after being inactive for a bit more than two years. Few questions:
1) Wtf?
2) Is there a quicker way from Jeuno to Bastok / Windurst / Sandy than airships? No Ronfaure / Sarutabaruta outposts =\
3) I don't have Abyssea yet (gotta wait for money ;, so what's the best way to get experience as a 75 MNK with DNC / NIN / WAR subs?
4) Should I even bother getting a Faith Torque?
Thanks, sorry for asking so much!
Your guess is as good as mine.
Fastest means is Voidwatch NPC warps, but that assumes you have a 75+ job and lots of cruor to expend for the warp cost.2) Is there a quicker way from Jeuno to Bastok / Windurst / Sandy than airships? No Ronfaure / Sarutabaruta outposts =\
No abyssea = Go do Grounds of Valor level sync'd. Usually people XPing in Gusgen for the 13-36 range, then Garlaige/CrawlNest/Bostanieux/etc from there on depending on lvl.3) I don't have Abyssea yet (gotta wait for money ;, so what's the best way to get experience as a 75 MNK with DNC / NIN / WAR subs?
Still a decent mnk piece. Hardly anyone up in sea, and it's duo/trioable at 99.4) Should I even bother getting a Faith Torque?
Mine is in storage
Anyone encounter a glitch where you can't get the maw warp for la thiene even if you've been in the zone/beaten zone boss but warped out instead of exiting normally?
Be sure to shop around before you buy the Abyssea edition of FFXI (as that's the cheapest way to get all three expansions, anyway). It's going to be on sale in one place or another, whether on Steam, Amazon, or another digital provider, and all you need is the code it provides. It'll work with your existing account.
Beyond that, the second fastest way of getting around (besides Voidwatch warps) is Abyssea warps. When you do have Abyssea, and you enter an Abyssea zone, you can warp to its maw for a small amount of cruor from then on. The NPCs which provide both Abyssea stones and warps are in Port Jeuno, and this will most likely become your new home.
When you do ultimately start doing Abyssea, one of the best quick reference guides for general information is here:
http://welcomeback.guildwork.com/p/info
And when you want to understand light levels and what they mean in terms of chests:

The information those two links contain may seem confusing right now, but they will make understanding things in Abyssea a lot easier later on. I recommend keeping them bookmarked and handy.
Wtf do you do with lv 99 non empy mnk nowadays? I heard empy ws is getting nerfed and I have shijin spiral meritted, but I have no clue how to build my mnk up gear/atma wise.
I have most of the standard melee wses (razed ruins, gnarled horn, sanguine scythe, siren shadow, stout arm, etc etc etc), though I dont have omega or apoc. Work in progress.
I have most of my empy gear +1d and most of my relic set. Almost done +2ing hands and then +2ing head next. Got +2 relic feet as well.
I have gear sets for both counter dmg+ and kick attack dmg+, it seems like counter dmg+ is a stronger build to go around in abyssea since I'm at capped 80% counter rate with counterstance up, since my relic+2 feet give it such a huge boost.
Once I get +2 head I will have a grand total of +40 base damage to counters while perfect counter is up, and +20 base dmg normally on top of an attack bonus from counterstance + relic feet+2.
Seems to be exceptionally strong, even with just +2 feet and back piece alone my counters are already doing significantly more damage than my normal attacks, and against fast attacking opponents like mandies and etc, my counter attack procs exceptionally more often than kick attacks.
All of this together leads me to believe going for a counter+ build is the way to go. Atm I think I'm at 60% counter rate or so without atmas, so really gnarled horn puts me at cap, no?
Furthermore, if I have a huge amount of counter rate going on, would it be a good or bad move to go for fulcrum pole or pluto's staff + cataclysm?
All I can imagine is my taru tanking 20 or so mandies, countering all of their attacks and rapid firing with my staff at an absurd attack rate, quickly dropping them all down and then following up with AoE and devastating them all. Sounds fun no?
I kind of wanna get vere anyways, since its an easier empy to get and one of the best HTH in the game. On the other hand I've always wanted to make spharai since I started ffxi, and now it's a goal kind of in my reach. I have an alternate 95 whm/pld, and soon it'll have thf in there as well for treasure hunter, so we can duo farm dynamis.
Also leveling said mules fishing up so we can fish hakuryu's twice as fast, so lots and lots of money total. Probably can make 1-2 million gil a day fishing haks/abaias/liks, so 2-3 months of fishing would get me spharai... so much saving up for that @_@;
Also, with lv 95 spharai I would be able to just barely get close to the counter rate cap without atmas, (60% @ counterstance, 5% from merits, and what? 17% from 95 spharia? No fucking clue. Also +2% from counter dmg+ backpiece.)
Note: I know spharai is NOT the best option to go for for a raw min/max build on mnk. I don't care about that. I just have always wanted spharai so I wanna make them now that I can. And considering they're absurd counter rate, seems to me that the best gear set to go with it would be an all in counter attack build.
Gear I have:
Brego helm
Toci's harness
+1 empy hands
+1 empy legs
+1 empy feet
+2 relic feet
(soon) +2 relic hands
(soon) +2 relic head
Do not have the good bost HTH yet, using afflictors I got a long time ago. I'm currently getting my blue procs done (3 quested wses is a shit tonne of ws points <_< >_>) before I go fight indrik.
And a 95 whm / 95ish pld alt mule, with decent gear on both but nothing epic.
tl;dr: What are the options for building a mnk, gear wise? Trying to avoid generic cookie cutter monk.
Why Savateur's gaiters are so expensive? Do people really pay that much for subtle blow? Kick attacks damage is based on h2h base damage right? If so, then only PUP that can really benefit fully from this piece.
