It's magic so can resist, same as a physical WS can miss. Concider a half damage wildfire the same as a sam missing fudo. Concider a 1/4 dmg wildfir the same as a sam missing shoha.

And the macc is based on marksmanship skill...take it from someone whos marksmanship skill is hovering around 250.

any chance of testing Blade: hi damage with the new Athos's gear (body, feet, (hands)?) vs seiryu/koga+2 feet. I feel as though the hands are meh overall (athos's) and seiryu might be better as opposed to the extra tier set bonus. just a thought, but i think it might be worthwhile

Not sure about the rest but seeing as seiryu gets 3 crit rate unless the dex on athos is adding to crit rate the set bonus would need to be at least 4 from adding hands to be competetive

Alright the SE website blows..

I'm trying to reactivate the content ID on an old account. I linked it to the SE ID as my main that is activated and working fine, and I'm trying to pay for the content ID now that I cancelled in March 2010. It's still on the list, and the character name is there as well.

My problem is that when I click on the character name, hit reactivate and all that, I get the error: 105

"An error has occurred.
Please confirm the status of any relevant options and then try again.
For details, please contact the Square Enix Support Center.
(Error code: 105) "

Anyone else have this problem? my main guess is that the character is too old to be reactivated, but it is weird how it's still listed as an option..

Proteschar said it's 4% with the 1st pair and up by 2%(hypothesized) per item and additional 2% when all 5 are worn.
Body+legs are said +9% crit dmg bonus

Other then stacking regain atmas and ws for low numbers?

Finding nms that last a really long time of that type but aren't that dangerous is good. http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Demonic_Tiphia is fairly good vermin for example since it pretty much wont ever die if you aren't trying to kill it lol

If I recall, 5hit on 492 takes a lot of sacrifices, and is only really decent with Regain Moonshade. Standard 6hit should be
AF3+2/Rancor/Dragonkin/Brutal
AF3+2/Aces/Blitz/Rajas
Atheling/Bullwhip/Calmecac/AF3+2.

You don't need any STP sacrifices with 6hit either, so for Drakesbane you could look at:
Twilight/Rancor/Str earring/Brutal
AF3+2/Crit dmg augment Heca+1/pyrosoul/pyrosoul
Atheling/Windbuffet? Or Anguinus/Warwolf/AF3+2/Augment Heca+1

I did those trials in abyssea with a whm mule. Just stack full regain atmas and go at it. Preferably stronger defense monsters if they're available obviously. It is indeed quite tedious... At least you're on Samurai?

Very easy. Normal DD atmas.

I did a few WS on the bird NM in abyssea - la theine and they counted toward trial. I believe only "kill x target under y circumstance" trials discount NMs maybe?

I tried WSing on Asanbosam for my scythe back in the day, didn't count. So I don't know about the criteria.
