Anyone know the defense down rates on magian weapons? Is the +15 on the 85 version a 15% defense down, proc rate, or something else?

I'm guessing the defense down doesn't stack with any other forms such as acid bolts or blu spells?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Defense down proc rates depend on the delay of the weapon. It is 15% defense down.

It doesn't stack with other stuff and it won't overwrite itself either. That said, it procs often enough that it's pretty much always on.

Question: Where are these spreadsheets everyone keeps referring to? If they're sig'd I apologise as I usually browse at work logged out so can't see them.

Also: Twash>Mandau comment made a page or 2 back (or maybe in What's Better?) is that just trolling or is it actually the case? Assuming 90 twash vs 95 mandau, I was under the impression mandau was better. Partly becasue it doesn't lose as much if you're unable to use the associated weaponskill (solo or SA/TA can't be done for w/e reason) and partly because it looks 100x better XD

Are there special pop conditions for Ephemeral Clionid in Abyssea -Tahrongi? I seem to remember hearing something about the rate of kills across the zone, but I could be way off. Trying to get abyssite for my mule, and I spent two hours there last night with no luck on seeing one (using widescan on BST).

What weapons are worth pursuing for Magians? My jobs are PLD, WAR, DNC, and RNG. My natural inclination is to go after the Occasionally Attacks Twice weapons, but I don't know if it's still worth it or not.

AFAIK, the Double Attack weapons are better than the OAT ones, if you're going that route.

...Really? Why's that? The DMG difference seems negligible, but I guess I'm figuring the OAT nature is like that of a Joyeuse (45 someodd perecent or whatever), whereas Double Attack seems just like the job trait.

Though I'm talking specifically about one-handers here. I imagine it might be different for G.Axe.
