That's fair. I tend to not think about first actions whilst engaged being SA or TA, and needing separate codes for SA or TA with TH gear because the simple tiny bit of code I posted above covers that already.

Am I able to just lot a new one and proceed with questline or do I need to do WS points again? Or am I just screwed.

I'm 99% certain you can just lot and trade a new one. I pulled the radiant lance off the storage NPC to start my Ryu, and I think that wipes WS points as well.

If you're blm|sch|smn often for VW, Myrkr is a solid 60% MP restore+most status removal from 30' with a dusty wing - between that and Lucid Ether II x2, Manapowder x2 and Vicars, rarely need to use real meds or rest.

Plus, trial NMs will always be ready to pop after 2-3 PH as there is no shared trial with staff.

You piqued my interest in making staff now. Looking specifically at KKK pop, the hippo and wivre look easy as hell, what about the eyeball Arimaspi? Can I somehow dual box that melee + mage?

You can end the current trial, but you can't erase completed trials, if that's what you're asking.

I did the coin one, since all you gain from fullpower is the MP on it to raise the amount you get from 60%. Eyeball haven't fought since lvl80, pass on that question.

Well you can't actually melee the eyeball... he flies out of melee range. You have to proc on the clones it makes every 20% iirc. You can get from gold box though... oh and blu spells hit it. SATACA benthic did like 30% it's hp at 85

Trade the weapon to the Magian Moogle, he will ask if you want to continue with the trial or not. Once you are no longer undertaking the trial, trade the weapon to the moogle again to remove the trial insignia. Once you do that, you can trade it to the moogle to start a new trial.

We did the eye as RDM/NIN NIN/WAR and WHM; RDM/NIN tanks/nukes the NM to death, NIN procs on adds, WHM cures/Stonas, easy stuff. Best way to go about it is start on Dagger/Staff and use Cyclone/Earth Crusher, as Discernment can proc on all 4 mobs. Goes smoothest if you melee each add down to 75% or so to get hate, then just hold; they cast nastier magic as they approach low HP, and it just resummons every 20% anyway so no point in killing. You could duo it, but they like Break... having someone to Stona that isn't being targeted by their casts makes your life much easier.

If you're dead set on duoing, NIN/WAR + WHM, have NIN use MAB atmas for Ninjutsu spam to kill it, don't use AoE WS, kill any adds you touch so WHM doesn't get hate on them. Would take considerably longer than trio, but doable I'm sure.

Also, you can reset red proc by running south to the Conflux (7 i think? Been awhile) and warping to 01. Sometimes it'll keep hate and head towards 01, sometimes it doesn't and goes north to spawn point; just split up in both directions til you find it.

As for WoE vs. Empyrean... given the recent changes to WoE, I'd really only go that route it if I was planning on making other WoE weapons as well... which I wouldn't do but YMMV of course. Hvergelmir gives you more MP towards Myrkr, makes a great lolmeleeSMN staff, and looks cool as shit; and as others said, Kukulkan/Sedna is one of the easier paths with the added bonus of virtually zero competition, so it's pretty fast. Was a pretty obvious decision for me, at least.

You do not need to fulltime TH+ gear. Use it for the first action, then equip rel gear.

It's just for the time being. As fast as levels go in Abyssea parties, I dont see a reason to buy gear i'll use for 45 mins between levels 79 and w/e level af+2 is.
