It's 0.11, exactly as far as anyone has been able to determine, though I'm not sure whether anyone ever definitively tested if it's 113/1024. Clearest proof is H2H cap at lvl 75: 276+16+7 (merits+Faith) put you at 299 skill, but did not give a damage upgrade. 299*0.11 = 32.89. 299/9 = 33.22. Since base damage was 32, it had to use 0.11, not 1/9.
Unkai Sune-ate +2 Enhances Sengikori effect: Needs to be on while activating ability, or needs to be on during the actual WS?
All the testing I'd ever seen on it (which, admittedly, was quite some time ago now) had it approximated as 0.1, and fractioned as 100/1024. The referenced post uses a value of 10/256, which is ~0.04, significantly less than the commonly used values. Is that something specific to ranged weaponskills, or do we need to run an entire new set of tests on the value of the gorgets? At 40/1024, you only need 4-5 att to match the gorget for damage (assuming capped on accuracy, and not using something like Gekko that doubles attack anyway) if it applies only to the first hit. On the other hand, if it applies to all hits then it can add up to more value than previously assumed, as soon as you get 3 or more hits on the ws.
how is server population?
how long is leveling grind from 1-> current cap, roughly, in hours, assuming pretty good xp/hr?
is endgame still a lot of 21-24 hr spawns?
will i still have to do tons of missions for sky+sea?
compared to XIV, why would i choose XI aside from the longing in my heart when i hear old music on yt?
listened to a bunch of music from the OST and got nostalgia bombed.
Just read over the guy's post... but I see one problem. The gorget number, as someone else pointed out. It's 25/256... using both is 50/256. (Simple test anyone can run: http://www.bluegartr.com/threads/101...=1#post4331310). Granted that's dated from last year, I'd be surprised if the value changed.
I went back to the old post /w Jinshu data: http://www.bluegartr.com/threads/907...=1#post4190784
It was only tested using the first hit, so yea it's possible that subsequent hits don't get the 1.0 ftp that other physical weapon skills get. (This can be tested easy on the test server, if I can find some time later, I can try running it myself.)
Running his numbers myself:
Bow: 95 DMG
fSTR2: 36
Antlion Arrow: 41
Total: 172
His modifier calculation looks fine: floor(floor(999 *.6) *.85) = 509
Using 3.75 for ftp ( 1.75 + 1 + 1 ):
(3.75 + 50/256) * (172 + 509) * 3.75 (Rng Crit Pdif) * 1.3 (RR Atma Crit+) = 13,093... well below what he was getting, so the fTP probably is off like he stated.
Using 5.25 ftp ( 1.75 + 1.75 + 1.75 ) with gorget affecting each hit:
(5.25 + [3 *50/256]) * (172 + 509) * 3.75 (Rng Crit Pdif) * 1.3 (RR Atma Crit+) = 19,372... well above what he was getting.
Using 5.25 ftp with gorget only affecting the first hit:
(5.25 + [3 *50/256]) * (172 + 509) * 3.75 (Rng Crit Pdif) * 1.3 (RR Atma Crit+) = 18,076... slightly short of what he was getting... .6% difference.
If you do the math out per hit, the numbers should come out more precise, but I don't think it makes up for the slight difference. Either way it seems subsequent hits ARE using the original fTP in the damage calculation. Cheers to Saelae for discovering this~
Typo'd there at the end (put [3 *50/256] twice), but yeah. What is weird about this to me is actually that he got all-but-one 3-hit-crit WSs just using Razed Ruins and the WS crit bonus. He should only have a 55% crit rate. I wish he had said what his other WS' damage was.
The difference could be:
* About 6 Base damage
* About 1% Crit damage
* 451/256 fTP, or 1.76 instead of 448/256 or 1.75 (fits the best) - Also would be +9/256 from the gorgets for some reason.
* Ranged pDIF is pretty well worked out and easily testable, so it's not that.
Did the old test have enough accuracy to rule out 451/256 fTP?
fTR, assuming his 18000+ WSs were 2 Crits and 1 Non-Crit (3.0) puts it in the range of gorget/belts on every hit. (Actually not.)
Saw before someone mention a way to change enemy names, I want to change the names of TE stats in Dynamis zones. If anyone can provide also the IDs for the TE and/or if the TE ID ever changes would be very grateful.
Thank you for your time.
He did. 18192 damage for all but one; 9796 for the other.Originally Posted by Byrthnoth

@Byrth: Not sure on references, but the gorget fTP should be easy to test with standard ranged weaponskills.
Or any magical
Btw how much crit rate does jishnu's add?
Either that guy was incredibly lucky or a lot. Probably both, and maybe akin to Ukon's +30%. It should be pretty easy to test it.
