Tried but couldn't find an update I seem to remember where SE said "the fast cast value on certain items wasn't working properly." Nebula Cuffs +1 specifically, where someone said on ffxiah that it made no difference at all, and was probably a .5 Fast Cast.
Anyone know offhand if this was changed, and whether these are now worth getting?
Doing wotg for moonshade, what augment do u reccommend bg? These are the jobs that I have, THF(Twashtar),BST,BRD,BLM,RDM,WHM,DNC,BLU. I was thinking tp25/atk4 for rudra or macc4/refresh for mages are there any other good combos for my jobs? TY BG!
I did HP+25 Refresh+1 for my brothers character. He's a Taru WHM/BLM. I figure that additional 25 idle HP is perhaps more appealing than 4 Macc.
this is a semi-stupid question, but does the 30% defense down from Tachi: Ageha translate directly into 30% more damage taken by the mob?
Not exactly, it alters cRatio (Att/MobDef) which determines pDIF range. If you're already capped cRatio (2/1) it does nothing, if you're around even it gives ~42% boost (1/1 > 1/0.7).. but that won't necessarily make a 100dmg hit to 142.
See: http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/PDIF for more details.
so how much of a damage boost would using Ageha give to VW mobs?
It's not possible to give an explicit answer to a question like that. It depends on your buffs and the mob in question.
The best place to ask this or to pick up some info is here http://www.bluegartr.com/threads/424...ee-random-crap
YY is nice but you can live without it. Find a refresh body to idle in.
Your sets will be different but you can do a lot of it with relic/accessories etc. Eidolon Pendant/Caller's Pendant/Diabolos's Rope/Tiresias' Cape are useful. Also grab a Sacrifice torque when you can. (Also helpful for waking you when slept with avatar out). How different are my sets for Physical and Magical BPs going to be, assuming again that I'm not using any of my Expansion/one-time gear?
They're still the only reliable -perp gear for the hands so they are nice. EAF+2 are better dependant on the day.I don't have any Nashira. Are the hands still necessary at this point?
Still worth getting. Is Karura Hachigane worth snagging or is it irrelevant at this point?
If you can be bothered, you can grab a Fay Crozier for this quest https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Succor_to_the_Sidhe and get a -3 perp stave that way. It's what I did and saves hefting around all the HQ.Edit: I also really don't want to grind out staff trials for SMN. Is having full HQ staves and Soulscourge acceptable? Is there another staff I should be snagging (bar Bahamut's)?
Serpentes is better than Nashira at night(or day, I forget). Why is Karura Hachigane good? Does it really beat out the set bonus of AF3+2? I know it's not good for perp anymore (because "Enhances Avatar Attack" only affects BPs and head matches it with Refresh).
Going by your previous testing on War's set bonus and the OF stating Smn's set bonus is similar, wouldn't the set bonus be fairly weak if it's a seperate function of Blood Boon with a low rate of activation?
If it's a 2->4->7.5->10% activation rate but procs after Blood Boon, you'd be looking at dropping about 2% Augmented Blood Boon proc rate for an unknown amount of attack. I don't know. Every BP piece except AF3+2 body is such a damned joke that it's hard to get serious about it at all.
As a 95 dnc with fairly good gear, if I were to buy glavoid popsets off of people, what would be my best route to kill said glavoids? Get a few friends to help me, and if so what would I look for to handle it? If have a 95 nin and sam friend both with empyreans, however one is working on their own twashtar so not sure if they'd be up for helping me kill my own glavoids, they're pretty busy.
OR just buying brews from random people for cheap and have them kill 2-3 glavoids? I'm not sure if I'd be willing to risk a random brewer fucking up potentially 2-3 glavoid pops so I'm leaning towards finding people to help me kill glav. If the person popping glavoid helps me kill it as well whwat does it take nowadays to take him down?
A shit load of synergy questions:
- If I wanted something synergized, but lacked the levels in that guild (say I needed 80 WW)... would I need to find an 80+ woodworker with synergy leveled, or just any 80+ woodworker?
- Does the woodworker need to have any fewell or synergy related key items (crucible)?
- About how many synergists would be needed to manage a 70/70/70/70/50 item, accounting for leaks/thwacking/etc?
- What's the best route to go on the upgrade choices you get every 5 levels? Really tempted to do Thwacking... but it might not be the best choice in the long run. I'm mostly leveling synergy for the abjuration augments.
- Is there any negative impact to winding up with say -20 Wind on a synth that doesn't require wind?
- Does anything factor into HQing sky augments other than skill level?
- When doing sky augments, when do I get to see the augments without actually ending the synergy?
- True or False: If I get WS Damage +3%, STR+3 Attack+3 on a Shura Kabuto +1, I can keep trying for like STR+5, Attack+6... without risking losing the current augments?
- If true, how does this work, so I can prevent accidentally overwriting a pretty good augment with a useless one?
They only need 80 WWing and to be in your pt, as wwell as within radius of the machine
nope
With everyone at high skill it took me 4 people to make my kitchen set for my MH, 1 person draining impurities, 3 people feeding.
Twacking, Fewell Feeding, Safety Lever, and Repair are the ones you want I believe
Not that I have noticed
Not sure on this one, lots of speculation atm do to all the various factors in synergy.
Wwhen you finish the synergy and take the item out of the machine.
You will see the new augments and get a dialouge asking if you want to keep your previous augments or use the new ones. Yes/No thing.
Urat covered your questions pretty well, but figured I'd chime in with what I've done. My choices are 5/5 Feed Fewell, 5/5 Safety Lever, and 5/5 Repair, as these are by far the three main actions you'll use. Last point is mostly throwaway, but I'd do 1/5 Thwacking just because the other options seem kinda worthless. That said, I'm 88 fishing with my Fisherman's Cuffs and have found Precision Thwack to work far more often in preventing Overloads.
