Deleted both folders, downloaded the files (from your link) and replaced the rom folders, ran file check, still over 300 errors. Im out of ideas and really dont want to reinstall but it looks i dont have any option.

I failed to mention the whole reason i did a file check was due me not being able to see chigoes after installing ffxi on new machine.

Got a good friend to hook me up with rom5 folder. Replaced the folder and rand a file check before i went to bed. No file errors.

Fixed i assume. I better see chigoes tonight!

Flail will not hit outside of alliance for sure with Azdaja, so I am guessing that wing is the same. The paralyze effect on Izgebind's wing can be a game killer, so avoiding it would be an easy way to make the fight less terrible.

Whm drop outside party and flail tank to make things go faster ie bypassing the 30 second potent para aura after a wing.
Avoiding the wing altogether, as well as roar etc... makes it go twice as fast.

No reason not to flail tank it.

Best and fastest way to lv blm elemental magic from lv 30 to cap when lved from aby?

Theres some new IT worms in Gustav Tunnel Basement, the Bhoaban Sith (SP) area. Spam water/stone 1 will take you all the way upto cap. Though you need enfeebling skill to silence or a 2nd char >.>

Failing that just join an abyssea group and spam T1.

Except you are wrong from the whole start DA/TA > OAT > Hassozanshin is the right priority.

The more I play with setups the more I think /war just stick with Masamune, between Zanhasso, DA, traits and med its TP spam as is. /DRG on Fodder mobs 5hit Quint.

So I'm looking to tackle WHM Maat on my mule within the next few days. Should I not even think about trying this until level 70 and maxed healing skill? I've heard of people just spamming heals the whole time and also people clubbing him like a baby seal.

If your divine skill is OK you can just repose him until he gives up. I did this at whm 66 with capped skill (from pld), no special gear just mnd accessories, light staff, and AF, and was a total breeze.

Healing skill plays a minor role in cure calculations. WHM Maat is pretty easy. Bring some Yagudo drinks and idle in a Terra's Staff. Rely mostly on Cure IIIs to keep your HP up or rogue Asuran Fists may pose a threat. Use defense food and bring a bunch of Hi-Potions too in case he's eating away at your MP too fast.

Repose works too but really nobody skills up divine magic.

I just kited him around, and when he stopped to cast a useless spell like banish or something, I used a cure 3. Literally wore nothing but vermy cloak, and 3/5 AF.
