Does Signet work in dyna zones? I was in dyna-qufim w/o it today on BST and it seems like I was getting hit a lot more.

Yeah, if you're soloing you really want signet. Not sure how the defence bonus works exactly but mobs will do 2x+ damage without it on.

It's really noticeable when you get links, given that it only works for monsters you're engaged on. The one I'm fighting will hit me for 70,the ones I'm not hit me for 120.

I might see if I can test the defense bonus at some point.

Silly question but I'm getting back into ffxi, I have some European cd's, not sure how I got them but I have them. Can I run my NA account off this or do I need to keep digging for my NA cds? :/

All depends on the hidden effect. It could be TP bonus or a straight chance at augmenting damage. Will probably just be something stupid like Enpoison though.

a friend with the gkt said the hidden effect may be tp bonus, he doesnt play sam all that much tho, ill ask him if hes noticed anything else since i last asked him

A few 100TP Sneak Attacked Tachi: Gekkos on rabbits just outside of San d'Oria, or a similar mob. A TP bonus would be easy to see on Gekko, so shouldn't need many more than 10-20 samples.

Thanks for the answer ppl . Btw anyone want to share their experience with twilight mail drop? I'm 0/9 on him, all with blue !! and th7+ each time. I got 3 helm, 2 cloak so far :/ am I just unlucky or is it that bad of a drop rate?

The drop rate is really that bad, and random drops are random.

It is weird, in that it's a "two hit" WS where the first hit is physical and 50% str mod and the second hit is magical with 30% mind mod.

And both hits will go off even if the first hit would kill the mob.

(you can check this with MAB gear/traits. It adds exactly as much damage as you would expect from a single hit 30% mnd modded magical WS. And SA adds as much damage as you would expect from a single hit 50% str modded WS.)

So you'd want to sneak attack it, so you wouldn't get variation on the physical component. But yeah, a SA koki should show it pretty easily.

Is the "Snow-White Chocobo" (white with purple feathers) available, and if so how do you get it?

What about the *bright* blue chocobos? (As opposed to the normal 'blues' that look gray/purplish)

Not really sure what you looking for for a pet pdt set since it's not like there is all that much pet pdt/dt gear out there. But here's it all Shepherd's Chain, Oneiros Cappa, MKE head and af3 pants (technically it's Stout servant but same thing in the end.) And of course the axes.

Personally I only use axes hat and af3 pants. Axes and hat obviously because they add a full 10% each and hat gives pet haste too. af3 pants because well they also happen to be good tp pants. The others generally better stuff for you to use if you are meleeing partly because they don't give much or there are peices that add alot to your or your pets dmg

If you want to go crazy I suppose you could get some pet def stuff but it doesn't seem to add much

Goto windower website, wiki area, search for resources.xml, open it up in web browser and highlight/copy the innards of the file. Goto your windower/plugins folder and open up resources.xml in notepad, select all, backspace, paste in the innards from the online file, save, close. Open up control prompt in-game with "Insert" or whatever button you have it bound to, unload recast, load recast.

PROFIT!
