Came back recently, and was reading on the new hasso update. Is it worth upgrading Ikishoten now? I'm at 5/5 overwhelm, 4/5 blade, 1/5 Shiki; is it worth droping shiki and maybe even some or all points of blade and going with Ikishoten now?

Also, what is the exact rate of DA from zanshin, @95? And is most zanshin gear worth using now for tp, if it doesn't take from haste or store tp obviously. For example, Unkai back or Atheling Mantle?

DA on hassozanshin is 1/4th your zanshin rate. Wait on update to merits to see what they do about blade bash. I think it might be safe to go 5/5 overwhelm and 4/5 ikishoten 1/5 blade assuming SE does as they said for cat2 merits...

So unless Unkai back has 12%+ zanshin, Atheling is still better for tp. For WS, Unkai back is pretty much it. Any good list to start from for gear to aim for? My sam is pretty much stuck at level 85 days, so I don't know what I've been missing since.

Evis sometimes can do a bit more than DE.
A full merited Exenterator is looking more promising, though the AGI gear options aren't as powerful as those DEX gears.

I always get Evis as coming out stronger for thf than DE, no matter what I do.

setup I use is:

heca/rancor/brutal/ethereal
loki/Emp+2/rajas/epona's
Atheling/Pipilaka/Heca/Heca+1

My augs aren't perfect and obviously +1s would be better for legs/head. Should use something other than ethereal too, but eh.


I think DE only wins on DNC because it can't use Heca and has way more CHR on stuff. (emp feet/body etc...)

cant decide on "lvling" (gearing/meriting) war or sam, which is more usefull now days with voidwatch etc? I think war because of all the red proc for aby? But sam seems to be cooler(bleach fanboy lol) with gkt (and new archery ws) hmm

In terms of procs War has the edge, but really pick the one you like which in your case sounds like Sam. Don't worry no matter what happens SE will keep their poster child buffed, and if it's not buffed enough, buff it some more.

Which of the new meritable WS are worth getting? I ask because I haven't really read extensive testing on them and I've only seen complaints (but then again, that's the OF...).

For reference, my jobs are MNK, BLM, RDM, THF, BST, BRD, SAM, NIN, DRG, SMN, BLU, COR, DNC, and SCH.

Should be the ones that are worth 5/5 merits. Pick your poison. Shoha and Last Stand are arguably the best of the bunch.

Shijin Spiral should be on that list as well. Sure it isn't fantastic if you already have Verethragna- but then again, neither is Blade: Shun if you already have Kannagi.
