    World NM questions

    Hi all,

    Since the stat changes, how many people do you think it would take to kill Great Buffalo and Uraeus? A friend and I want to kill it.

    Not a real answer just what I heard. A week before the update my friend and I duoed Great Buffalo for quite some time. A week after, with all new gear and materia attached he said he wiped with a few of his friends. Seems they amped up their strength along with our stats.

    The level difference modifier that played such a large role pre-1.19 is now actually even harsher towards enemies with high level differences. So without even seeing the GB myself, I'd say it's much harder. I remember trying to solo the Goblin NM on my THM post-1.19a and it was doing 900+ to me with light slash (used to be under 200).

    Haven't tried GB but Dodore and Uraues went down easy with 4 people. MRD LNC LNC CNJ

    I'd say GB can be done with 4-5 people. I did it with 6 the other day and it wasn't much of a issue at all except the fact that our PGL drained all the mages mana away.

    Prepatch I was duoing it with a CNJ. We also 3/4/5-manned it quite a bit. GB is probably still a joke.

    for GB all members need Flashfreeze2 this keeps him on the ground doing nothing the whole fight ...

    We always used Hawk's Eye+FF2. Always hit, didn't always incap but with a good DR spec as either MRD or PGL, shouldn't have any problems taking it out. LNC trick (distance poking) works well on him too for avoiding his stomp aoe.
