I seem to go through phases for a few months. Really back into my Cradle of Filth and other harder metal at the moment.

Yeah, I don't know anyone else who's ever heard of his Ice Ages project. It's fucking awesome, and the disparity and loneliness he captures in it are nothing short of genius.

Fuck yeah. Summoning definitely would've made the cut on my list, but I was trying to limit my list to one band per genre. They're right at the top of the pile though, and I've always enjoyed the hell out of the DVKE and Ice Ages stuff too. That guy really doesn't know how to make a bad album.

Just for the record (and to start the inevitable argument), out of all of you only Dolmen, Dimmauk, and Fhqwghads have anything remotely resembling decent taste in music, and even they have a few questionable items. I will be referencing this thread if there's ever a borderline question if someone should be banned or not. "Oh, they like that? Well that makes things easier."

(For the actual, for-really-real record anyone who decides someone is cool/not cool from a list of Things I Like is fucking retarded, but yeah, y'all listen to some crap.)

For the record, most of what those 3 listen to is encompassed in the genres I posted, and I only listed 3 bands because I assume the survey has more to do with types of music more than the actual band names.

Although I did lose a tiny bit of respect (just a tiny bit, as you are, well, you. (I mean that in a good way)) from the fact that you made this post. Anybody that says something is crap in a subject as wide, varied and subjective as music makes me raise an eyebrow. Music is perhaps the most subjective thing on the planet and we, as unique human beings, are drawn to each piece of music's uniqueness. There are thousands of reasons to like a particular song and also thousands of reasons not to like a particular song. It's our personality that determines those reasons.

I may not like any country at all, but that doesn't mean I'm going to call any of it crap just because I don't like it for my own reasons.
