So I've been reading up on the new CBA and I honestly don't like the draft changes at all. Many teams employ over slot strategies to get better talent and that is all but impossible now. Teams that spend a lot on the draft like the Pirates, Rays, and Nats will suffer with these changes (along from poor Scott Boras).

A lot of experts think this will also keep better talent from entering the draft, potentially hurting the sport as a whole in the process.

My point is that even when Braun fails, he succeeds statistically

If that's just a homerun, his season wouldn't have been one-of-a-kind. This is me making fun of myself as a stat-obsessed fan.

According to ESPN Sources, Valentine accepted the redsox offer to be their manager.

Bobby Valentine, an analyst for ESPN, will be the next manager of the Boston Red Sox, a source close to the team said Tuesday night.
Valentine was offered the job Tuesday and accepted it. Valentine, who appeared at a charity event in Japan on Monday, is scheduled to fly back home at midnight ET Wednesday.
