It takes awhile for Aram to get going maybe in a dome it'll be different but he usually has a down year but somewhere in the middle he goes on a tear which brings his average and other stats up.

Point is, Rangers weren't going to overpay for a #3 starter who shits the bed in the postseason, so they let him walk.

They already have years invested in Darvish. If you have to pay $50m on top of the $60-70m he's going to get for a potential #1 starter who is 25 years old, then so be it.

Not overpaying for C.J. has nothing to do with the Rangers overpaying for Darvish. They still would of done it even if they got C.J. back for the amount they wanted.

Rangers have a lot of financial backing and a big TV deal coming up but it doesn't mean Nolan and Jon Daniels are going to overpay for every Free Agent on the market like the Angels or the Yankees of old. Even if you have the money, it's still a stupid decision.

My girlfriend is in Philadelphia tonight, but she's an adult woman. Now that Kobe is back in Los Angeles, we're safe. My take on the Rangers getting Darvish is that someday a Japanese pitcher is going to pan out stateside. Could be him. Probably easier to say when it's not my team or money. I'm still reeling from the Ryan Howard/Johnathon Papelbon contracts. I hope Howard regains some form. I don't want to hear about it for the next five years.

Not to be nitpicky or anything but Conlin lives in NJ, which is where all the molestations took place, but yeah its totally fucked up and I'm never letting my daughter leave the house again.

I'm like 98% sure Conlin lives in the same town I do. I know he's regularly spotted at a local Wawa and called my friend's brother-in-law a wetback with a college degree.

Really good stuff out of the bullpen. Not just a control lefty, he can get K's at a good clip. They dicked around with him for a couple years trying to make him into a starter, but he slotted into that 7th/8th inning guy really well.

He's ok. Hell be a good setup guy. I think he found his niche in the bullpen after the pinella/Quade disaster years. We're in hardcore rebuilding mode so there really no point in having him go to waste here.

That means no fielder either. Pretty much everyone aside from starlin is available.
