Joey Votto to Cubs?
Joey Votto to Cubs?
Votto be too old to give a big contract to. Besides Rizzo would be on his way to one of his many MVPs in 2014.
So, Phillies lost this offseason with the Madson deal and overpaying for Papelbon. The two pitchers aren't that far off statistically. Cool.
Well at least we get 2 draft picks (38 & 72 overall, looks like)
Yankees trade for a Latin American Mariner starter!
Not, not King Felix, the other one. As a Mariner fan, I'm not really sure how to feel about this.
I hear the other guy the M's gave up is a pretty decent prospect himself, albeit very young. I personally think that it wasn't a bad idea to trade Pineda now while his stock is high and he is untainted by injury or failure, but I'm not sure how much I like Montero. Most people say he can't stay at C so what's going to happen to Smoak/Carp? I don't know. Then again, the thought of any non-impotent hitter in the M's lineup is kinda of exciting.
Brian Cashman, still a ninja and still better than your GM
Nah
really??????????Because not only does their 2012 rotation of Sabathia, Kuroda, Pineda, Ivan Nova and Freddy Garcia/A.J. Burnett/Phil Hughes stack up with the best among the other American League contenders, it turns the Yankees’ one weakness into a definitive strength.
The Mariners fucked up what should have been their plan. They had an Ace AND a #1 in their rotation. You can can count the numbers of team with that on your dick. A little patience would have paid off for them with the pitching they have coming with guys like Hulzen to fill in the #3/LHSP spot. I think another year developing for their young hitters and maybe trying to spend on Fielder would have yielded results. On paper, Texas and Anaheim are way ahead of Seattle, but with that park and that pitching, they could win enough to hang a flag or two. I think they'll regret this in 3 years.
In actual news that matters THEO was jamming with the plain white tees.

In actual actual news, Kerry Wood, Cubs agree on one-year, $3 million deal.
THEO
Montero instantly becomes your best hitter. 80/80 bat, kid can flat out rake. There were major concerns about whether he'd stick at Catcher and it's the primary reason he was dealt.
I was so emotionally vested in the guy that it makes it difficult to undeniably agree with the trade. Pineda is a legit stud, though. The secondary pieces are pretty good, too. Noesi's mL numbers were better than Nova's and Campos has a live arm (throws hard and throws strikes and only 19? sign me the fuck up).
Phillies sign Joel Pineiro to a minor league deal. Not a bad pickup if he preforms like he did 2 years ago.
Did you actually believe he was a vegetarian? lol
Nah.
Still think hes under 300 pounds?
Yes.
He's 5'10".
So. You're willing to take him at his word about being under 300 yet didn't believe him when he told everyone he was a vegetarian.
ok
What the fuck does him being 5'10" have to do with anything? Would he be the first person in recorded history to be 5'10" and 300lbs?
