Dude, you're going full retard. Never go full retard.
Dude, you're going full retard. Never go full retard.
hey man, Pedro Martinez, that guy kinda sucked. Could never beat the Yankees. Nevermind he was probably one the of greatest fucking pitchers of all time
Except I'm really not - I'm just stating opinions, and you're finding them objectionable.
I'll rephrase again. When the Red Sox face the Yankees, and CC Sabathia is pitching, I am pretty confident the Red Sox will win. That's how I felt all of last season about him. Why? The Red Sox get to him, plain and simple. Maybe it's bad luck, or maybe they have his number.
Sometime there are just scrub pitchers that shut you down every time. Going back several years, Tampa had this one pitcher, pretty mediocre, that dominated the Red Sox every time. I think it was Scott Kazmir. Every time we were lined up to face Scott Kazmir, the general consensus was "fuck, not this guy again..."
Anyway, CC is a good pitcher, sure... but he doesn't scare me.
If you mean the 2003 ALCS, the Yankees didn't beat Pedro - Grady Little did.
Pedro actually pitched fine that game. They just left him in too long, and didn't even get anyone up in the bullpen while the Yankees started lacing doubles off of him. Fucking Grady Little.
Oh well, 2003 made 2004 sweeter, I guess.
Jon Lester career vs NYY: 4.15 ERA. CC Sabathia career vs BOS: 4.14. I guess the Yankees "just have Lester's number" or they just "aren't scared of him" or some other bullshit. Or maybe both teams play in really small parks and have really good offenses and you shouldn't judge a pitcher by a small sample size vs a good team in the first place.
Also you remember Scott Kazmir because he was the only pitcher on the Rays worth a damn before they got good. Stop using your shit memory as a replacement for facts.
You seem just a little too angry I'm not madly in love with CC Sabathia's skill set...
The first and last game he pitched again Boston last season were pretty good (3ER total in those two games), but in between those was some tough times giving up 6ER, 6ER and 7ER respectively. Of course, all of this completely neglects everything prior to last season, where Sabathia has pitched well against Boston. There are some famous playoff struggles (sup Cleveland), but by and large he has done his job and earned his money against Boston. Trying to downplay his ability to throw a baseball is just kind of dumb.
because to most people he doesn't belong anywhere near those other names yet(if ever)
CC has had 6 straight 5+ WAR seasons, 5 straight throwing 230+ innings. He saves bullpens and is a rock solid haus.
Madison Bumgarner is just a guy coming off one pretty good year.

I always think about how much it must suck to win your sport's championship in your rookie year. There's nowhere to go from there but down
If anything i'd almost think it's a relief. With how hard it is to get to the championship, unless your Texas you may never get another chance at blowing it![]()
I have it on good authority that the only reason the Giants won the World Series is because the Rangers choked
Is it choking if every major sports news source picked the Rangers over the Giants? I think the only prediction I saw of the Giants winning was Sony simulating the world series through The Show '10 and even then it was a 7 game series.
