I'm honestly perplexed by our bullpen moves this offseason. Relief pitching is the one and only area where we have a surplus of young MLB ready talent, and yet they keep giving old shitty vets major league contracts despite being right smack up against the luxury tax threshold. Oh yeah giving Kendrick nearly $4 million also boggles my mind.

I thought Blanton and Kendrick would be battling it out for that 5th spot? I also don't understand dumping off Lidge for Qualls when Lidge signed for $1 mil with the Nationals and wanted to stay. Ruben is kind of a snake.
