Tough break for Chicago
Chicago Bulls forward Luol Deng has a torn ligament in his left wrist and will be "out for a while," according to coach Tom Thibodeau.
Thibodeau described Deng as "week to week" and said no surgery is planned, but it is an option.
"That's always a possibility," Thibodeau said. "The fact is it's his left wrist. After consulting with the doctors, he feels this is the best course of action. So obviously we're pleased that he doesn't have to have the surgery."
An upbeat Deng tried to put a positive spin on the news.
"I know it's a bad injury, and it sounds terrible, but I'll be fine," Deng said.
It reads as the same injury that Kobe is playing with. Hard to know, etc, but the descriptions are the same, torn ligament in wrist. It's his non-shooting hand too. We play Miami in 5 days, will be interesting to see.
Difference is the Bulls don't need Deng to win, they can afford to sit him due to their depth. If Kobe doesn't play the Lakers would be scoring 60 points a night.
Eric Gordon said hes waitign to hear from David Stern on whether or not he'll get a contract extension by Wednesday's deadline. fucking lol
Bulls have won 43 of their last 50. Projected to 82 games, that's 71 wins. If that's the Heat it proves they're on par with the 96 Bulls.
No one is ever going to be on par with the 96 bulls, mostly because the league was horrifyingly bad in the mid-90s.
In other news, Carmelo's "I'm going to pass more" philosophy is going to kill me in fantasy.
cmon, it won't last long lol
With the Pacers loss the Bulls now have two fewer losses than anybody in the East while playing more games than anybody in the East.
rhinox i won bulls tickets at trivia last week and got to watch them beat the suns
i think i would be a bulls fan if it werent for all these chicagoans with their fucking humongous boner for d-rose
You're not from around here are you?
nope. i like the bulls but i mean shit, people need to give some cred to the supporting cast.
You went to the game we do give the supporting cast credit unless your name is Boozer. But NO ONE is getting a bigger Ovation in the UC than DRose other than MJ. Mainly because of what hes accomplished and were he's from. He's one of us. He grew up less then 3 miles were I did.
I respect him and everything and yeah that game I was at was one of the reasons why I kinda loved that this team can handle their business without him.
Also semi-off topic but I hope Jabari Parker ends up at my alma mater. That kid does look like d-rose v2.0. Chicago born basketball players lol.
well it was against the suns. They played great but lets temper it a bit. lol
and yeah Jabri Parker is gonna be a beast in the NBA.
