You don't go from best player in the playoffs to done in 6 months. He just took way too much time off and wasn't doing his normal offseason routine, or even his regular season routine of shooting 1000+ shots in the gym every off night. It really affects his accuracy when he doesn't have those reps.

I do think his days of putting the entire team on his back where he has to score 30+ every playoff game to get a win are coming to a close, if not next year then the soon after. That's why Cuban is trying to bring in another superstar(s) to lessen the load on Dirk that he's been carrying alone for over a decade, and let him shift to a Robin role. Even when Dirk has a beer belly and is bald at age 40 he'll still be a great shooter, his game doesn't require athleticism.

Kidd is done though, he shouldn't be starting this year. His shot is totally gone. He'll still be a good crunch time defender/general but he should stick to the bench otherwise and help mentor Roddy B.

Considering the majority of playoff teams last year, including yours and mine, got worse, that's not a bad thing. They got youth on their side too which will help them when they get to the playoffs.

love is playing better than any other pf in the game but nash/rubio over cp3 is insane.

nash leads the league in assists per game (3rd total) on a shitty phoenix team. rubio is 4th/game (2nd total). rubio is also 5th in steals/game. westbrick+lawson arent even top 15. (and yes, im of the belief a PG should be a facilitator first). theyre both top 3 for PG in double-doubles in the league.
