or ripping Wade must be because hes an undercover white guy
Yahoo Sports reported that NBA Commissioner David Stern killed the trade after several owners complained. Citing anonymous sources, Yahoo reported Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was one of the most vocal owners upset about the deal, done the same day as the end of the lockout, which was supposed to restore competitive balance in the league.
So CP3 is seeking legal action and won't report to camp...
Cubes should of shut up, Lakers were getting fleeced.
Kobe+Paul+nobodies is a recipe for failure.
Hornets actually would of been just as good as last year except +1 first round draft pick.
Dragic/Martin/Scola/Odom/Okafur could win 50.

lol supposedly phil jackson predicted this would happen a year ago
ZEN MASTERThe [Hornets] were recently bought by the NBA, which prompted Jackson to say: “Not happy about that.”
Jackson put forth a scenario where Hornets star Chris Paul might revive his demand for a trade, and Jackson wondered how the league could manage being the one deciding which other franchise would get Paul.
“Who’s going to pull the button on it?” Jackson asked. “When Chris says he has to be traded, how’s that going to go? … Someone’s going to have to make a very nonjudgmental decision on that part that’s not going to irritate anyone else in the league.”
It makes perfect sense really. owners fucking hated players dictating their future in regards to trades when still under contract, as they should. the nba is a business and players need to abide by that shit and not john elway / eli manning it up. when you become a free agent, you get to choose. but until then, you signed your fucking contract, fuck you
so you'd rather owners stick it to the the players by not getting anything for them when they walk
sounds like the perfect plan
you know the hornets could have prevented all of this by being a good franchise and not selling draft picks for money and actually building a solid team that cp3 felt he could compete on
supposedly dwight asking to go to the nets lol
fuck you nets, I go to your games for years with your shitty teams and when you finally start getting some talent you move
So the NBA trolled the Lakers/Hornets/Rockets?
hi there plantation owner, how's the weather today
listen, if the owner has the power to not honor the contract by trading it away, so should the player have the power to decide where he ends up in that trade. this is not a sales supervisor contract. you people new to pro sports are so cute
Now the rumors are stern might resign, lol.
This quote was pretty good lol
Well, we know he's not allowed to join the Lakers. He's probably not allowed to join the Knicks, either, because they're a pretty big market. The Clippers also play in a big market, so let's not send him there. How about we let him rotate from Cleveland to Charlotte to Indiana every three games? Would that solve competitive balance?
I didn't know being a slave put you in the top 10% of income earners in the country. I knew Harriet Tubman was the first African American to own a railroad company. She had way too much access to only be a passenger. She must have used the earnings she made as a slave to purchase the business.
The point is that players don't have to sign extensions if they don't want to. Even if Stern stops permitting trades to big markets, they will still walk and go where they want in Free Agency. The only alternative is for the league to control contracts.
Paul isn't staying in NOLA. All Stern did was fuck the Hornets over more because now he walks and the Hornets get nothing. No way NOLA gets an offer comparable to Odom, Scola, Martin, Dragic. That's virtually 80 cents on the dollar. And if they did get an offer like that, it would be from a team also in a big market, and the Lakers would cry foul and make this into an even bigger fiasco.
The league needs to accept that they over-expanded. There's not enough top flight talent in the NBA for competitive equity in the way they want
