ESPN reported conflicting stories. Howard's agent said he had permission to talk to these three teams and there was no tampering, then the Magic said they just gave him permission going forward from this point. Also they are saying they gave his agent permission only, not Howard.
Also apparently Orlando does not think Brook Lopez + 2 picks is sufficient for Howard. I have no idea what the Mavs want to offer.
EDIT: Broussard reporting that a new Paul trade between LA/Houston/NOLA has been submitted to Stern.
First, I said I have no idea what the Mavs want to offer, not that they didn't have anything to offer. We know what the Lakers and Nets are offering respectively, what is Dallas offering?
Second, everyone was just talking about how Gasol and Lamar are too old to trade for Howard... yet Kidd, Haywood, and Terry aren't?
EDIT: Mavs going after Dalembert. Per Mark Stein twitter
"If Mavs can get Dalembert on one-year deal, they have replacement for Chandler this season and cap space for 2012 free agency as top bidder"
Am I late to the party? the Paul to LA deal may be back on.
I edit'd a post a while back to mention that. No details on the specifics of the trade though. NBA supposedly wants LA to take back more salary and for the Hornets to get younger players and more picks.
Tyche, can we change the name of the thread to involve CP3 jokes somehow?
With acquisition of Tyson Chandler, Knicks have now had, at one point or another, eight members of 23-win 2003-04 Bulls team.
Lol
Cuban preparing a trade exception to land Howard?
http://espn.go.com/new-york/nba/stor...ington-wizards
NY gets: Chandler (sign and trade from Dallas at $58 million for four years), draft rights to Ahmad Nivins and Giorgos Printezis
Washington gets: Ronny Turiaf, cash considerations, a 2012 second-round pick (from Dallas) and a 2013 second-round pick (from Knicks)
Dallas gets: Andy Rautins, a future second round draft (from Washington), trade exception (from the sign-and-trade)
NY waived Billups, to make it happen. The Heat want him supposedly.
DRose is overrated.

The Mavs want Dalembert for 1year to get the contract space. I'm assuming that space is for Howard or Deron. So what's the trade exception going to be used for?
Also reports are that Okafor not going to LA. I don't know how LA takes back more money or gives away younger pieces if that's not the case.

Let's go Lakers let's go!
Billups saying "Fuck off" to being sent somewhere he doesn't want and that he will retire to get out of playing in a shitty place.

How long till Stern throws another fit about players getting to control where they go? lol
Mavs just might want to have talks with Dwight again to reaffirm their commitment to giving him max money next year. They can even use that huge trade exception from NY to offer him more. Dwight had previously said Mavs were one of his preferred destinations last year (before playoffs).
Dirk has 2-3 years left of being elite, and another couple after that of still being a great scoring threat. Dwight and Dirk would be a deadly combo.
They can't offer much this year unless Cuban keeps making deals to acquire space and assets.
knicks picked up bibby
Did you watch Bibby in the Finals last year? Dude is straight up garbage.
