Barea was good for the simple fact he could give Kidd some time on the bench. Kidd is great when he's on the court but he can't put in the same minutes as he used to, you need some good people to rotate in for him when that time comes. He made alot of plays when he got on the court. Terry can move over to Point Guard as he's done it in the past(for a total of 1 season), but again you're crazy if you think your team in anyway got better. Just accept your team is trying to remain somewhat competitive while realizing they are delaying a championship run for abit.

No one ever said the Mavs were better this year O.o We were comparing the Mavs and Lakers to the Spurs.

Mavs just signed Carter to a 3 year $9m deal with year 2 and 3 as options. Also signed Delonte West to a 1 year min. deal who will probably be Kidd's main backup.

I like the West pickup, he's a good defender if nothing else. Mavs need to work it a bit and get a center, maybe Dalembert - trade Brewer or Fernandez.

minus Chandler, Barea, Peja and plus Odom, VC, West all to one year deals. Still rather have Chandler but this gives a better shot than I thought they'd have of defending while still setting up for the future.

Spurs got the best record by playing a style of basketball suited for the normal season. And just like the run-n-gun Suns, when the game slows down in the post season, they got destroyed.

That's how they lost a 1-8 seed match-up. Duncan was too old to be able to handle post season style grind.

i mighta said that the spurs were better cause of addition by subtraction (using amnesty on RJ), but it seems like they're in talks to sign josh howard. i wouldn't like that at all if i were a spurs fan.

I haven't made any claims personally. I'm disappointed by the Vince Carter signing and have mixed feelings about Odom. Just pointing out that Rhinox, amongst others, can't read.
