how the fuck are you even comparing to 2? Are they going to ban defenses that force the other team to take 6 jump shots in a row? Jordan D was killed because it was way too physical. Are players going to not be allowed to stand within 2 feet of each other?

I am not sure the Jordan D the Pistons did was totally legal. The whole idea was to punish him enough so he didnt want to be aggressive. The Pistons.. being the Pistons.. didnt really care if they got called for a ton of fouls. Playoff play during that time was also allowed to be quite a bit rougher even though the rules were the same as the regular season. Most refs just had their own idea of a foul during the playoffs regardless of the rulebook just as many umps in baseball seem to have their own strikezone.
