The Knicks suck because we have alot of great players, but the system does NOT fit what we have. That and no real Guard on the team is fucking stupid, ball movement is atrocious. When you barely beat the Wizards, there is a problem.

melo is the best pure scorer in the nba. he can score in any situation, adapt to any personnel feeding him, and he'd still be elite at it. his game isn't dependent on isolation, it's just kinda what happens when the rest of your team sucks. for now melo dominates the ball but that role would go to nash if they had him their team. mike D perfected his offense with nash and he wouldn't eschew it in favor of carmelo. furthermore, nash is a pick and roll god. the nash/amare tandem was the best in the league, so having nash would only make it easier for anthony.

Normally NBA advance scouts are placed close to the floor. However, in the remodeled Madison Square Garden they've been moved upstairs to the 300-level and they're not happy.

"Advance scouts are in the business of winning basketball games," one NBA executive tells the New York Post. "It's the most important job on the staff for game preparation. It can win or lose a game. I think the Knicks realize that and are trying to do the right thing."

3. The point is that I'm not sold that Melo will function outside iso. The Knicks were playing speed ball before he came and Melo slowed it all down so much that Amare bitched about it

I think the Knicks just want to grab whoever is available without caring if the pieces actually fucking work. We were great with Amare and all this good prospects around him, that are now balling the fuck out in some cases on other teams. Melo was not necessary. We could have gotten Tyson Chandler to have a big in the paint, and had room for a good Guard that'll appear, like DWill is probably not gonna stick with the Nets if they don't sign someone, would have room for him. And this would have worked better in D'Antoni's system compared to what we have now.

Melo's not a bad player, but since we are apparently committing to this system it was fucking stupid to get him for all that. Having no good guard is already terrible, have no good guard in a system that was built around Nash before is just plain retarded.
