Mark Jackson did the same thing against the Clips with Deandre Jordan. I give him props for having the balls to do it.

I saw Delonte West's name come up. The man is a true baller, he'd play with a sock instead of a ball if the league asked him to play with a sock. Don't disrespect Brother Red.

Kevin Durant, meanwhile, says he's going to need more time in the gym to be able to replicate Nowitzki's one-legged stepback jumper with greater regularity despite working on the shot all summer.

"I get double-teamed a lot in the post," Durant said, "so I gotta figure out how to shoot that shot a little quicker."
Never gonna happen Durantula - even Dirk hasn't mastered his own move in 14 years, it's always evolving.

I feel like this Chicago game tonight is sneaky important for both teams. Chicago has a brutal first half schedule, 20 of their first 33 are on the road, including a 9 road games in 14 day stretch from late January to mid-February. CJ Watson and Rip Hamilton are both still out for this Boston game, meaning we're one aggravated turf toe away from seeing another 45 minutes of JL3. Meanwhile, Joakhim and Boozer can't figure out how to play important stretches of the 4th quarter, which makes our best 4th quarter lineup Rose, Brewer, Deng, Gibson and (I-like-to-drop-passes) stone hands Asik. Noah's points and rebounding are both down this season, the points bother me more then the rebounds, because his points should have gone up with a whole off-season to practice his shot after hurting his hand last year. However, he's only had the game high in rebounds in one game so far this entire season, a marked change from the 2008-2009 season that caused the bulls to give him $80 million dollars. The entire league is down offensively, so it is hard for me to tell if Noah is down cause everyone is down or if there is something else at work here. And admittedly, I'd rather have those two playing well at the end of the season instead of the beginning. It is worrying that our best five players can't play together at the same time though. Chicago needs to win this game to ensure that Miami has no doubt the Bulls want the #1 seed again. And as a fan, I want that game #7 in Chicago, not Miami.

Boston on the other hand has had a cream-puff schedule, with 2 of their four wins coming against the Wizards and they haven't played in 3 days. Their last 4 games have been at home, which means they haven't had to travel in nearly two weeks. But after the big three, Boston's roster gets bad in a hurry, despite the recent Stiesmsma sightings. Boston needs to win this game simply to prove they can. They are more rested, playing at home, and have their starting five available to them (Although they expected to have Jeff Green, technically he never signed with them). The big three era in terms of championships is almost certainly over, and I would be interested to see if Danny Ainge would take the plunge and pull the trigger on some huge moves. If the Celts are 10-20 heading into the trade deadline or the all-star break, it might be worth it. He could trade Pierce to the Blazers, giving the Blazers a replacement for Roy, getting a player or picks back and make the Lakers lives harder (always a worthwhile goal for the Celtics). Then he could trade Allen to Memphis for OJ Mayo and a pick or two (not sure Memphis makes that trade now that Randolph is hurt - if he wasn't injured, I think they would jump on it because they felt like their window was open to win the west for the next 1-3 years, hence why they signed all those guys to contracts and extensions). Then amnesty KG, because no one in hell is taking the 4 year extension that hasn't even kicked in yet. That basically clears Boston's cap, gives them an extra two picks in a draft that is really deep because no one declared early because of the lockout and lets them turn the page to a new era.

I keep trying to figure out how to get Ray Allen onto the Bulls, but there isn't a single trade that makes sense for the Celtics and/or works with the salary rules. Although I might be willing to give up Noah and simply re-sign Asik.

Blah, blah, livejournal post, blah blah.

lol something about the Durantula, he seems to add a new move to his game every summer. I actually laughed when he did the Dirk in the preseason

even with a bad shooting night Point God still finds ways to take over.

Celtics went on a 26-6 run in the third to bring the game within 1. thats when Point god said enough is enough and finished closed the game.
