Hi guys, apologies for starting a new thread but noticed the old materia thread hasn't been looked at in ages. I'm trying my luck at attack IV and crit IV materias. Now, I'm pretty sure there's a pattern to spiritbonding. For example, dated mythrill wristlets usually always give +HP or +MP. What pieces of gear have people had turn into +attack or +crit?

Ok, well that's a good start! I got a healers hand IV from a cobalt belt.

I'm like 3/8 on crit IV with Dated Linen Shortgloves (Blue).
The rest of the time I get mag crit IV from them.

Cobalt Vambraces have been kind to me, giving STR IVs and Attack IVs a lot. I think I got a Savage Might IV from a pair too, though that may have been Felt Bracers, I forget. ><

From my observations, colour makes a difference.
I just made an INT IV with the same blue goves btw.

i might have done close to 100 materia so far im pretty sure each type (body,head,legs,hands.. etc) gives certain materias,but im stupid and i didnt record any of them.

I hate that they didnt answer a question about that in the live letter, maybe it means they will release soon or maybe it means they wont at all until next patch.

From all of my conversions, the biggest trend is that if you break down some pants, you'll probably get materia that can attach to pants. If you break down gloves, you'll probably get materia that can attach to gloves.

This is pretty much what you can count on, but the biggest inconsistencies with this trend is from hats, belts, and jewlery which seem to usually turn into STR/DEX/VIT/MND/PIE/INT/MP/HP/HP+MP materia.

UPDATE 2/10
--Updated the results to reflect a 2-3x increase in raw data to produce more accurate assimilation probabilities
--Integrated the December 1 Lodestone assimilation table to definitely show that empty cells mean the materia is not able to be assimilated from that slot. Items with numbers other than zero are results I myself saw and integrated into the probability calculation.
--Green cells continue to be accurate and show that that type of materia is able to be melded to that slot.
--Raw data is provided on the second sheet.
--This is my final update.

I have a collection of parsed materia conversion with about 1600 conversion, as a tip I found that each slot can convert into a set % of materia

ex: rings => 40%MND 40%STR 5%atk 5%crit 10%aurelia/wyver

It doesn't matter what rings you convert if its 41+ then it has equal chance at the breakdown, ie if you want to go for a slot use the cheapest for you to make/get slot as long as its 41+ its not any better to use HQ/NQ or r50 vs r41 all the same as long as its the same slot.
